Dream laid down on the grass next to George after looking for him for a while. He didn't know why George was randomly laying on the grass outside but he didn't question it, and just joined him in silence.
George seemed to be counting how many stars he could see, but he seemed to give up as he rolled over onto his side to face Dream. He laid on his arm and slightly curled up a little as he watched Dream's eyes shimmer from the moonlight. Dream rolled over too and looked at George with a smile that was barely visible due to the darkness.
"It's crazy how the universe is presumed to be infinite." George said, breaking the sile. Dream slightly laughed and rolled his eyes, confusing George as he wondered what was funny about his statement, but Dream's laugh was contagious and it made him laugh too.
"That's what you think of when you look at the stars?" Dream said, smiling as he watched George roll into his back to look up at the sky. He interlocked his own hands and rested them on his stomach as he looked up at the sky, Dream still on his side looking at George.
"Sometimes, it's different other times. What do you think about when you look at the stars and moon?" George turned and looked at Dream for a moment, before averting his gaze back at the stars. Dream didn't stop looking at George though, he kept his eyes locked into his beautiful side profile.
"I think about how pretty you look under the moonlight." Dream's voice was soft and was laced with love. He sounded like he meant it, and that's what made George smiled and turn to face him. Dream kept looking at George's features, some more prominent than others due to the moonlight, like his eyes that twinkled.
"What else do you think when you look at the stars at the moon?" George asked, watching Dream turn to face them as he hadn't. He squinted his eyes to try and see the stars and waited for his eyes to adjust to the sky.
"I'm not sure, I'm haven't been looking at them." Dream squinted again and even rubbed his eyes to try and see them, as George was now the one not paying attention to the stars.
"Why?" George asked, watching Dream finally see the stars. The tip of his nose had a small shine on it, and his eyes were practically sparkling, it made George's heart skip beats on how pretty he looked.
"I've been busy looking at you." He said turning onto his side. He rested his head on his arm and continued to examine George's features, as George just stared back at him looking pretty.
There was a long silence for a while as they both exchanged blushes and smiles at each other while keeping eye contact. Occasional glanced at each other's lips that were begging to be kissed were also shared. They both wanted to kiss each other so badly it was painful, and their obvious flirting supported that.
"What do you think when you look at me?" Dream asked. George looked up from his lips and back into his eyes. George's eyes looked so pretty to Dream, and under this lighting they looked extra pretty.
"I think about how much I love you." George simply replied, as if he already thought of that answer a billion times before. Dream was a little throwback by the response as he didn't know George would say that at all.
Dream slowly sat up and kept the eye contact with George, who sat up along with him. Dream looked at the stars once again before looking back at George, who seemed to not look away once. It was a beautiful moment, and George wanted to make it even more memorable for the two of them, so he let his heart do his thinking rather than his brain.
George put his hand on Dream's cheek and moved forward. Dream didn't move, he just sat still and kept the eye contact going. It sent both their hearts racing, Dream from nervousness and George from how shocked he was that he went through with it.
George gently rubbed his thumb up and down, clearly unsure on what to say, but knowing what he wanted to do. Dream knew what George wanted, but he looked like he wanted to say something first.
"Do you think we were meant to be together?" George asked. Dream put his hand on top of George's other hand that wasn't in his cheek, and interlocked their hands. He held his hand and gave it a gently squeeze before nodding.
"I want to be with you." He effortlessly said, making it seem like he wasn't panicking in the slightest. George looked up through his eyelashes and slowly moved closer so their knees were pressed together.
It was as if they were in sync because they both leaned in for the long awaited kiss. George pulled himself closer to Dream, who kept one hand on his waist and the other hand running through his hair. George had his hands either side of Dream's face and pulled him in even more. The kiss was what they both longed for, the second Dream laid down next to George they knew how it would end. Unfortunately for the two, they needed to pull away for air.
"I want to be with you too." George smiled, letting one hand drop so he could hold Dream's hand. Dream smiled and slowly laid back down, George doing the same but this time a lot closer to Dream with his head laying on Dream's chest.
"You didn't answer my question from before." Dream said,, running his hands through George's hair as he looked up at the sky. George thought about what Dream asked previously, struggling as all he could think about was the kiss.
"I think us being together is written in the stars." George closed his eyes as Dream continued to run his hands through his hair, rambling on about how he thought George was soulmate and how he thought they were destined to be together.
It was all beneath the moonlight and stars that Dream thought George looked ethereal under.
