Dream loved it when it rained, he found it so relaxing and whenever it did rain he'd sit by the window with his blanket with Patches on his lap. Dream would sit there the whole entire time it rained, most of the time he would watch it, other times he would watch Netflix on his phone so he could still enjoy the comfort of it.

George never understood what Dream liked so much about the rain, but after a boiling hot summer, George understood it pretty quickly. It was now autumn, so it was starting to get chilly, and that was the perfect excuse for candles to be lit.

It was currently raining, and as expected Dream was sitting on the window seat with more blankets than usual, which was due to the colder weather. George was going around the house putting cinnamon scented candles around because he had accidentally bought more than he needed to.

"Can I put a candle here?" George pointed to the window ledge and sat onto the couch. Dream nodded and scooted closer to the window so George had room. George lit the candle and put it on the ledge, the sweet smell of cinnamon immediately flooding the air nearby.

"Do you want to sit with me?" Dream smiled, lifting the blankets up. George was supposed to be editing a video as he hadn't posted in ages, but seeing how cosy Dream looked, it was irresistible. George smiled back and sat next to Dream, who put the blankets over him, while wrapping his arm around him.

"Why do you like the rain so much?" George asked, focusing on the candle rather than the rain.

"It's peaceful." Dream simply replied, leaning his head against the window. George watched in awe as Dream looked out the window. George finally looked out the window after a while of admiring Dream. He looked out the window and noticed it was raining very hard, so hard it would be heard a lot clearly if they turned the TV off.

So, George leaned over to the nearby table and grabbed the TV remote to turn it off. Immediately the rain sounded a lot more heavier, but it did make sense to George how Dream could find it so peaceful.

"It's nice sitting here with you like this." George leaned his body against Dream as he looked at the trees, noticing all the birds hiding. Dream brought his hand over to George's hand, that was on his lap, and held it.

Dream's hands were always so soft, George didn't know why, his hands looked the complete opposite of soft. It was nice like this, George always liked being around Dream, but moments like this were what George loved the most.

Sitting at home together, curled up together with their hands interlocked with blankets messily thrown over their laps. It was so calming, they felt so safe with each other, they just loved each other's presence. Sometimes they wished these moments would last forever because they were so simple yet so heartwarming.

"I like it too." Dream smiled, turning his head to look at George, who was nice and cosy leaning against his shoulder. Dream leaned forward, pressing a quick kiss on his lips. George smiled and scooted even closer, so he was now laying on Dream's chest.

George was practically melted into Dream's embracement. It was so warming, everything about this moment just made him feel so comforted. The warmness of Dream and smell of sweet cinnamon made him feel tired.

The whole moment was worthy of a nap. Peaceful sounds of the rain and soft breathing, the smell of the candles he had lit, the way the trees blew in the wind and how Dream's face was glowing from the candle. The softness of Dream's hand was just as soft as the blankets they were submerged in.

Dream noticed George's grip on their interlocked hands had loosened, and his breathing was a little louder, yet still light. The blonde looked at George, who was asleep.

A wave of something flooded Dream, and he felt it hit his heart. He really did love George, and he was glad that he could call George his boyfriend because he was so caring. Dream wanted to fall asleep too but there were two things stopping him. One, was the fact he wouldn't be able to lay down properly as he was tall, and two being it would mess up their sleep schedule.

So, as heartbreaking it was to do, Dream had to wake George up.

"George, you can't fall asleep, it'll mess up your sleep schedule." Dream gently tapped his nose a few times, before kissing his cheek to try and wake him up. George groaned and stirred for a second, before sitting up. Dream was confused as George sat in-between his legs and laid back down against his chest, but he soon realized George was just doing that so it was harder for him to see if he was asleep.

"George, c'mon, love. You won't be able to go to sleep tonight otherwise." Dream continued to tap his nose, but George turned his head around and looked at George with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

"Did you just call me love?" George asked Dream, who just froze when he realized what he just called him. Even though they had been dating for what seemed like forever, Dream had not once called George love before.

"No." Dream obviously lied, making them both laugh. This moment just couldn't get anymore perfect, their laughter was now filling up the room which made this special moment together seem so much more perfect.

"You're such an idiot." George laughed as Dream rolled his eyes. The brunette pulled the blankets over himself, while also tucking Dream in at the same. They both loved each other so much, their relationship was so perfect and they adored each other.

"I love you so much, George." Dream smiled, gently squeezing George's hand as they both looked out the window at the rain once again. George squeezed Dream's hand back, before turning around so their torsos were pressed together due to George leaning on him.

"I love you too, Dream." George closed his eyes and tilted his head as he pulled Dream into a kiss.
