Engagement ring

Dream and George had been in a relationship for a long time. They decided to keep it secret from everyone, the only exceptions were Sapnap and BadBoyHalo because they were super close friends.

It was a lot harder to keep it secret when they were on stream together, Dream often found himself holding George's hand under the desk, or kissing him when the camera was turned off. Dream only did these things when he knew for sure no one could see, and he always checked so George often did the same back.

It was fun, it was like their own little game. Of course, sometimes they accidentally looked at each other's lips for a little too long, or maybe even brushing their hands together way too many times. People caught onto this and the two both decided to just ignore it and let them find out on their own.

The problem is, Dream had recently proposed to George so they had their engagement rings. They both still wanted their relationship secret for a while so they both came up with plans of their own.

Dream didn't want to take his ring off as it meant so much to him. He did everything in his power to not take it off during streams such as wearing gloves and his favourite one, which was putting a plaster over it.

George however, didn't want to wear gloves or anything. He toyed with the idea of taking the ring off but he couldn't bring himself to do it so he kept it on during streams. Dream was always worried whenever George would go live because George wanted to keep it a secret the most, so doing something as risky as that was putting their secret on the line.

Unfortunately, George was talking about the length of his hair and how much he needed a haircut, which lead to him lifting his left hand up, which had the ring on.

At first it was one tweet on his timeline that noticed it, but it was like a chain reaction because then more and more people tweeted about it and reposted it. Only a few people actually thought he was engaged to Dream because of the plaster on his finger all the time, but mostly people just questioned who it was.

George and Dream didn't notice it as they went straight to bed together after the stream, so when Dream was woken up by George panicking, it took him by suprise a little.

"I don't know what to do, everyone is jumping to conclusions and-" Dream was woken up by George panicking, which caused him to panic for a second as he thought something bad had happened, which in a sense it was a bad thing.

"What's going on?" Dream groaned, rubbing his eyes as George stopped panickfor a second, sorting out Dream's messy hair before going back on his phone to panic.

"People saw the ring, I didn't mean to but I must've touched my hair or something." George handed him the phone and scrolled through his timeline, all of it being flooded with the ring. He even clicked his messages to show friends asking who he was engaged to.

"If you say something when it dies down, things will just get more intense after the peace. You can do it whenever you want to be now seems like the best time as it can put a stop to suspicions of other people being engaged to you." Dream rubbed his hand up and down on George's back, with another hand scrolling through the phone George was holding.

"I'm sorry people had to find out like this. I know you wanted to do it differently." George sighed, turning off his phone while face palming himself. Dream sat up properly and side hugged George.

"It's fine, it was bound to happen anyways as we won't be getting married until next year, so that's a long time of hiding the rings."

"Can you tweet something? I don't want to." George handed him the phone again and watched Dream switch accounts to his own. He decided to do it on his main account as if he posted it on his alt account it would probably seem unbelievable to some people.

'me and george are engaged' it was very simple, too simple infact, but Dream didn't want to write a long paragraph explaining it all, but he knew he needed to show song proof as it would definitely seem like a joke.

"Can you put your hand on here for a second?" Dream pointed on the blanket. George put his hand on it, confused as Dream put his hand slightly ontop of it do their rings were visible. Dream took a photo before gently rubbing his thumb continuously over George's hand.

"What're you doing?" George asked as Dream cropped the photo. Dream scooted even closer to George, letting George lay on his shoulder.

"We need to prove it somehow, right?" Dream showed him the screen, as if he was asking for permission as George examined the photo. It was a cute photo, it was something he'd definitely print off and frame in the future.

"I'm really glad to have you, Dream." George said as Dream hit the post button before turning his phone off. George looked at Dream's eyes, before glancing at his lips.

"Really?" Dream smiled, knowing it was true but he loved hearing it so much as George always kept things like this to himself because he got nervous.

"Of course, idiot. That's why you're my boyfriend." George rolled his eyes and gently pushed Dream away as he began kissing his neck loads and loads of times.

"Fiancé." Dream reminded, happy he could call George that as it was one step closer to marriage. He never imagined himself even dating George, so marrying him was a dream come true.

"That sounds fancy." George smiled, turning around so they were met face to face. Dream glaced at his lips before quickly pressing a kiss on them, to continue to look into his eyes.

"It's gonna be husband soon." Dream smiled, he'd never get over the fact George was his fiancé, so when he gets married to George it'll take him forever to process it.

"Can't we just get married tomorrow?" George groaned, rolling his eyes as Dream lightly laughed, feeling himself get butterflies and all smiley from how much George wanted to get married too.

"We only just told people we're engaged." He reminded, smiling at the thought of just finally having that one kiss that starts a whole new chapter in their lives.

"Tomorrow we tell them we're getting married." George joked, though both of them wished it was true as they spoke about their wedding a lot. They didn't want to have a lot of people, but they definitely wanted George's mother to meet Dream a few more times before the wedding so it wouldn't be as awkward.

"I wish." Dream pulled him into yet another kiss, George immediately kissing his fiancé back, completely forgetting the stress about the accident on stream.
