The Return of Zira (Part 2)

So many things had happened, yet the young king of the Tree of Life was in utter shock, anger and terror from the two things on his mind at the moment: Zira and Rani in peril.

KION: "Zira!", he snarled, "How are you...no! You are dead!"

ZIRA: "Ah Kion, you recognize me! How cute...", she said taking her time toying with the young king's anger, "And I am very much alive, yes, in fact in a way I have never felt before!"

KION: "Zira, I don't know how you are alive, but leave... and you will not be harmed...", the young king growled.

ZIRA: "Kion, Kion, Kion... I don't think you understand...", she said as she paced over to where Rani was being helplessly held.

       Kion narrowed his eyes not only in anger, but a fear that his fellow companions had never seen before as Zira held her own claw out and brought it under Rani's muzzle to lift her head and get a good look at her. Rani was in tears.

KION: "Zira! I warn you step away from her!!!", he roared angrily, dark clouds filling the sky.

       Zira ignored this and kept to taunting.

ZIRA: "I must say you have good taste Kion. This one here is a fine lioness...", she spoke in a cooing chilling way.

       Rani spat at her and Zira swatted Rani with her paw, the two lionesses guarding her keeping her up from falling as Kion snarled in rage, thunder roaring from the clouds.

ZIRA: "A feisty one too...", she scoffed smirking.

        Baliyo, who had been too shocked and frightened to speak until this point now roared seeing his sister harmed.

BALIYO: "Zira! Release her! Kion, do something!!!!", he pleaded in anger, "Use your roar!!!"

HERA: "Yes Kion use your roar! In anger!", she laughed, "Destroy us and your queen!"

       Kion calmed down as his eyes widened.

FULI: "Kion?", she asked.

       Kion looked down angrily as the clouds dispersed.

KION: "She is right...", he growls lowly.

BALIYO: "What! Kion, you have to...", he frantically stammers.

KION: "No! I can't use the roar in anger, and Rani is to close to do so! I cannot let her be harmed!", he retorts back silencing Baliyo who realizes this truth.

BESHTE: "But Kion, then what do we do?", he asks.

       Zira is smirking hearing all this.

ZIRA: "Kion, I will give you one chance to let Rani return to you safely... on one condition... surrender the kingdom!", she confidently exclaims.

RANI: "No!!!! Kion!!! You Ca- Arghhhhh!!!!", Rani tries to yell before getting silenced by Hera's paw swipe to her face.

KION: "Rani...", his expression desperate seeing her in pain again, "Stop! I can't let you get hurt!"

FULI: "But Kion, you can't!", she questions him.

BUNGA: "Yeah!", he adds.

NIRMALA: "Fuli, Bunga, I am afraid we have no choice...", she says sadly.

       Zira smiles as the attackers all do the same in confidence that they have won, seeing their adversaries seemingly in defeat.

ZIRA: "So, Kion do we have a deal?", she asked in a sneer.
