Home life sucks

Since they brief make out session that happened in Mia's bedroom a couple weeks prior, Robby and Mia had found themselves growing closer and closer. There had been several occasions where Mia would wait by her window for her 'prince charming' to come in.

To Mia, Robby was a breath of fresh air, a breakaway from the stress and pain that came from her day to day life.

Today was a day where she needed Robby. She needed him to hug her and  tell her things would be okay. She needed him to be with her as they drove around for hours while smoking.

But instead, she was fighting off an anxiety attack as she left school. In her hand was her recent science test with an ugly 74% written on it. For most, that would've been a pretty decent grade, but for the Peabody's, you may as well of gotten a zero. She knew her parents had already received an email about it. She knew that she would be in for it when she got home.

She was parked in the Cobra Kai parking lot. She wasn't in a good mindset to be training. However, she was Johnny's main hope for winning the new female category for the All Valley.

She took a deep breath as she blew smoke out of her mouth, she was trying to calm her nerves before she went in. Once she saw Miguel and Hawk walk in, she sighed as she finally got out of her car.

Once she got in and changed into her Gi, and listened to Lawrence rambled on, on what they were doing. She felt her hands tremble as she paired up with Hawk, the two of them throwing punches and blocking.

"You okay Peabody?" Hawk asked,
"Yeah, I'm good,"
"Are you sure?"
Mia just nodded as she sent Hawk a kick that he continued to block.

Mia was pulling into her driveway, seeing her parents car in the garage. She parked her car and took a deep breath getting out. She knew she couldn't avoid it any longer.

She unlocked the door to see her parents sitting at the dining room table, Richard having a glass of rum in his hands, Amy sipping on her red wine.

"There she is Amy, the brightest daughter,"
"Seriously. We are very disappointed in you Amelia."
"You know what mom, all I want is to be treated like a human being by you two"
"Yeah well when teenagers complain that they want to be treated like human beings, it's usually because they are being treated like human beings"
"Yeah. Well I guess I picked the wrong time to be a human being"
"Don't speak to your mother like that"
"Dad listen-"
"I don't want to hear it Amelia! We don't expect very much from you-"
"You expect me to be perfect all the time! That is an insane amount of pressure that no sane parent should put on their kids!"

Amelia regretted the words as soon as they left her mouth. She regretted it even more as she felt her fathers fist collided with her cheek, causing her to stumble back. She looked at her mother, praying she would do something, do anything, but instead, she picked up her glass of wine walking right past after saying, "Make sure you cover that up before school tomorrow."

When Mia looked back up at her father, she knew what was in store.
