"How has things been with living with the LaRusso's?" Mia asked as she and Robby were sitting on her bed, a chess board sitting between them. "It's great. I use to not have hot water and now I have a hot tub" he says making a move.It had only been about a day or two since her and her father had that little 'stunt' in the hallway. "How have you been?" Robby asked, noticing his girlfriends off behavior's.
Usually they would have been laying down on Mia's bed cuddling, eating takeout or snacks.
But now Mia seemed to want as much distance as possible, she had no interest in eating anything, and she wasn't very talkative.
Robby also noticed the amount of face makeup she was wearing. Robby knew Mia wasn't one to coat her face in makeup. "It makes me breakout and makes my face feel heavy" Robby remembered Mia tell him once. He also noticed how flinchy she was being. The last time Robby remembered her acting like this was when he saw her with that bruise on her face after the party. The day after Robby saw how it suddenly disappeared after he went home.
"I'm fine" she said as she made another move on the chess board, taking Robby's rook.
"Are you sure? You seem off"
"Yeah, I'm good" she said shortly, barley making eye contact.
"Mia-"
"I'm fine Robby, now make your move so I can beat you already"
Robby playfully rolled his eyes. "Yeah don't be so confident, check" he said proudly.
Mia then moved her Queen. "Checkmate"
"How the hell?"
"Can't beat my giant IQ" Mia smiled as she looked at her boyfriend.Mia was glad Robby was here with her. Things were getting worse at home. Her parents were constantly screaming at each other, her dad was clearly fed up with Mia, once was hell for her. But her fathers words stuck with her like a knife to the heart.
She knew it was only a matter of time before Robby realized what a failure she was and left her.
He would notice how annoying and loud she was. How bad her smoking habit was. Her constant need of reassurance. He would find some other girl who had a perfect body and was actually pretty."Hey, where did you go?" Robby asked as Mia had completely zoned out.
"Hmm?"
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm fine"
"Do you wanna go get something to eat? My treat?"
"No, I uh had a big big breakfast"
"Mia, I've been with you all day, you haven't eaten yet."
"Why are you nagging at me so much?"
"Because I'm worried about you"
"Well you don't need to be"
"You haven't been eating"
"Yes I have"
"It's not just that."
"Then what is it?"
"Mia, do you remember the night of the party?"
"Yeah, when Daniel found out that you were Johnny's son?"
"Yeah, and you had that big bruise on your face"
"It was a training accident"
"Mia, is there something going on at home with your parents?"Mia felt a lump form in her throat. "No."
"Mia-"
"Stop! Stop doing that" Mia said as she stood up, running her hands through her hair.
"Stop doing what?" Robby asked softly.
"Stop pretending that you give a shit."
"I do care" Robby said standing up.
Amelia just rolled her eyes. Robby looked at Mia with a mix of Awe and pity. Some would get annoyed, but Robby knew Mia wasn't one to talk about her feelings. He knew that whatever was going on was serious and was clearly having a toll on her.
"Mia please tell me what's bothering you" Robby said taking her hand softly.
"I'm fine." Mia said, her voice breaking. "Mia-"
"Please, just go. I have to get ready for karate"
"Amelia-"
"Please."Robby sighed as he left Mia's house.

Mia had walked into the Cobra Kai dojo about 15 minutes late. She walked up to Hawk, Miguel and Aisha who were ranting about Daniels new Ad for karate. Mia had found out Via her mother that both the Carson siblings had joined Miyagi-do.
