Reunions

Four years passed, Luz was now eight years old, and still distraught from being separated from her only friend.

Luz devised up a plan so she could meet Hunter. She gathered up all of her papers and a few pencils, she even wore the bracelet Hunter made out of string and beads.

She luckily had gained a knack for stealing and not being caught. Luz pulled out a paper which was wrapped and stamped with the Emperor's symbol, she opened the paper to reveal a map of the castle. On the left of the map was a red circle with writing saying "Hunters quarters" around it. There were also blue circles and green circles showing where the different quarters and secret entrances are.

"It's time." Luz said to herself looking at the clock on the wall. She had her long hair tied up into a down ponytail tucked into a black hood which was connected to a black cape. Liz pulled up a navy blue mask up to her nose. And nodded to herself while doing some breathing methods.

Luz opened her door and left, not forgetting to close it, very quietly. Luz was as quiet as a mouse. She feathered-ran her way across the entire castle to the West Wing.

Almost every guard was on patrol tonight because there was a meeting with the Emperor with all the coven heads, including Hunter.

"*Gasp*" Luz gasped as she nearly dropped one the armors weapons. She caught the weapon in time, but fell and caused a domino effect with all the armor stands causing a huge noise which echoed the entire castle.

Luz ran as fast as she could to the West Wing, but was interrupted when she ran into an unexpected person.

"What the- Luz?!"

"HUNTER!!"

"What in the name of Titan are you doing here?!"

"I can here to see you! I missed you!" Luz hugged Hunter.

"Quickly, go through the window or else you will be caught!" Hunter commanded opening the window to his right.

"But, what about you?! We are family!"

"I'll just say it I didn't see anyone, go!" Hunter said throwing Luz out the window knowing she could land herself with her glyphs.

Luz couldn't believe her eyes and ears. Hunter was going to get himself in trouble for her to be safe. She knew they were best friends, but with the cost of being in front of the Emperor, his Uncle. Her dad!

They both knew he was not a merciful man. She blamed herself for causing the trouble, if it wasn't for her, everything would've been fine like the past four years without him.

Luz used her plant glyph to make a beanstalk towards the other side of the bridge. After she landed, she looked back at the castle and cried knowing Hunter was already in front of the Emperor, probably already being punished severely for lying to him and the guards.

"I'm sorry Hunter, IM SORRY!!! This wouldn't have happened if I had just listened...." Luz cried to herself, tearing up on her hands and knees.

Luz walked for miles in the woods, for days, trying to find a place to hide from the Emperor's guards when she stumbled across a house alongside a cliff.

Knock knock knock

"Hello? Is anyone home?" Luz called out. "Guess No one is home, the place looks like it was just left behind. I don't care anymore, I need a place to stay. And hide." Luz said to herself.

Luz walked inside, observing the place, and found a suitable room for her. The room was filled with junk and old laundry. Luz made a bed with a blue sleeping bag with white dots and built in pillow. She slept in the sleeping bag for a few hours before she heard the door open.

"Awwwe You are just too precious!" A voice said in the distance. Luz immediately woke up and quietly went to the stairs. Downstairs was a woman with short Orange hair, pale white skin, orange eyes, a gold fang, wearing a red outfit with brown pants and boots, alongside the woman was a tiny, black, fuzzy, demon baby with a skull for head with two horns, one was cut in half.

"So, beautiful...." Luz said in a quiet voice eyeing the two.

"Hello? WHOS THERE?!?! SHOW YOURSELF?!"

Luz hid behind the wall, in the spare room, thinking she wouldn't be caught. She stayed still in the same spot, not realizing she held her breath for five minutes.

"FOUND YOU!!" The lady jumled out from the side where Luz was hiding.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!" Luz screamed running out from behind the wall and junk and down the stairs.

Luz opened the door, but before she could exit a tiny hand grabbed her ankle, she looked down to see the tiny demon looking at her asking to be picked up.

She looked back up and saw the lady running down stairs with her staff in hand, floating the tiny creature to her. Feeling her hood fall from her head.

"Wait stop!! Hey kid!! WAIT!!" The lady called out, but Luz kept running till she made it deep into the woods.
