The Owl House: Daughter of the Emperor

Boiling rain

    Luz was walking back home from Willow's house when she heard a boom coming from the roof. Luz gasped and ran up to the roof as fast as she could to see what the issue was, but when she got there she had seen Tenela Nosa with Hooty messing with colored liquids with science gear and protection.

   "What are you guys doing?", "Oh! We are trying to find out what creature King is!!" Tenela said looking at Luz while pooring a blue liquid with the green. "Uhhh okay then, but don't do anything too crazy" Luz replied with her eyes squinted towards them as she went back down the tower.

   Luz managed to get down but with a few scrapes when she heard screaming from up the tower. Luz looked up and saw a boiling raindrop, luckily she was able to dodge it. "Get inside! QUICK!" Luz yelled up to the two and ran inside. "Luz! Come quick!"  King yelled, but Luz got hit with a large drop of boiling rain when the downpour was starting. Luz ran as quickly as she could and had gotten hit three more times.

   King opened the door for Eda who saw Luz still running inside, "LUZ!!" Eda called out as she summoned a forcefield and put it over the house and Luz. Luz made it inside and fell to floor wincing in pain.

  "Hooty, get the bandages, king find me some antibiotics!" Eda commanded. Lilith walked in the living room and saw Luz on the floor and immediately grabbed some fish skin. "Ew! What is that?!" Luz screamed at Lilith, "It's fish skin, it'll help with your burns!" Lilith said wrapping Luz's arms and legs with the cold fish skin.

   "Got the bandages!", "And I have the antibiotics!" Hooty and King called out both going to Eda. Eda removed the fish skin on the first degree burns and put some antibiotics on them. "Tsk, OWW!", "Hold still kid, this will hurt a bit.." Eda said, trying to stop Luz from moving. Lilith held Luz's hand, who squeezed it tight, and watched Eda's moves carefully, like she was analyzing Luz's skin.

   "Finished!" Eda said getting up after putting the last bandages on making sure there was no fish skin on Luz. "You need to be more careful Luz" Lilith said looking down on her. "Well It's not my fault that the tower in so tall and behind the house at the far CORNER!" Luz yelled at Lilith. "Lilith is right, it was irresponsible to be out there when the clouds were rolling in" Ekda defended.

   Luz growled as she went up the stairs to her room. Luz knew Lilith was up to something and it definitely had to do with her, she wanted to make sure Lilith never partook in her life ever again, not after what happened.

  Luz slapped and locked her door, not allowing anyone to come in, not even King. Luz looked outside her window and stared across the boiling sea. Up ahead was a large boat, despite the boiling rain, Luz decided to go and check it out.

   Luz ran with a metal sheet above her head, protecting her from the rain, and went to the boat to investigate. (How she had gotten the sheet was a no brainier considering she can find anything anywhere...)
  
   Luz made it to the boat and knocked on the wall. A plank fell from the top, allowing Luz to enter the boat.

  "Who goes there?!" A raspy voice asked. Lightning flashed to show a crab/lobster demon wrapped in an iron cloak, holding a spear. "Woah! I only came because....... I have to get away from the rain!" Luz answered holding one hand up and the other holding the metal sheet.

   "Hm..... Alright fine, wait in the foyer! I'll talk with my boss..." The demon said walking away as Luz followed him down the metal gate into a room. The demon told her to sit in a certain chair and went back up to the door on top of the ship.

    Luz waited patiently when the demon came back down and shared what his boss had said. "Alright, you may stay as long as you help us with a mission, in return", "Whatever it is, I'll help..." Luz said now knowing that she will be able to find out what this kind of ship is doing here.

   With Eda, "Luz.... I'm sorry, come out. It's time to eat.... I made your favorite!" Eda said knocking on Luz's door, but no answer.

  "Luz?" Eda called out trying to use a spell to unlock the lock. Sadly, the spell didn't work (more like obviously), and Eda kicked the door instead.

  "Luz? Where are you?...... LUZ?!" Eda called out as she saw the open window and rope going through it.

   Meanwhile with Luz...

   "Alright so what do I have to do?" Luz asked excitedly bouncing side to side with her hands ready to grab something. "First off, you need to prove you're gonna be loyal to the team, so start moppin' squirt" the demon said crossing his arms, looking at Luz as she grabs the mop and bucket.

  -Time skip-

   Luz was finally done with all her chores to earn their trust and it only took five days! A few other crew members came on board because of the bounty hunt they were hosting. Anyone who did the job would get a million snails, Luz was completely shocked and decided to participate. Luz knew Eda would love the money and decided to take the chance and earn one million snails, until someone stole the bag of cash.
