The Owl House: Daughter of the Emperor

Backstories

   Eda had gotten up from the other couch and went to the kitchen to start dinner. "WAIT FOR MEE!" King yelled running towards Eda with his arms stretched out.

  Luz and Hunter laughed at the sight when Hooty came in.

  "Sooo Hunter! What was it like living the CASTLE!", Uhhhh... I.. don't know....I never really thought about it..." Hunter said looking at Hooty. "That's okay, I get it. IT MUST HAVE BEEN GREAT!" Hooty screamed. "Hooty, I don't think that's what he was saying" Luz barged in. Hunter looked at Luz and gave her a smile. "So....where's my room?" Hunter asked. "You can stay in my room with me, I recently cleared an area so there is enough space!" Luz said guiding Hunter to her room.

   Hunter and Luz sat down on the mattresses left by Eda and talked about their backstories. Luz shared her entire backstory of how she found the cave and met FlapJack, who was with her grandparents, and how she found them then her adventures with Eda and her new friends.

  Hunter listened intensely, wanting every detail about her past. When Luz told Hunter about the bet, which was going to happen in 1 week, and the bullies, Hunter became furious and asked who it was who made the bet. "Woah! I made the bet and that jerk agreed to it! Willow has been training me for the game in the past month, all we need is a third player since Gus got his flags broken from the previous Grudgby game." Luz explained.

  "Still! That person is bullying my cousin", "You can beat her up with a different way so you won't get in trouble." Luz suggested. "Yeah... You know what? I'm gonna join your game, it sounds fun!" Hunter said.

  "Uh, not sure you can do that considering you're not a student at Hexside, plus with how long you've been in the castle I don't think you know how to play..."

  "So I'll train, I'm a fast learner! And I'll join your school, join the game, defend my cousin, and we win at the same time! Win win!" Hunter said spinning his hand around and doing jazz hands at the end of his plan.

  "..... Fine, but I think you should take it up with Eda. She has to request to enroll you" Luz said. Hunter ran out of the room to ask Eda if she could enroll him into Hexside when a thought popped in Luz's head.

  "How in the world did we end up here?", "When Hunter threw you out of the window!" Hooty suggested. "AAAAAAAH, Hooty! When did you come in?! HOW did you come in?!", "Came in through the window, that was quite a story too!"

  "You were eavesdropping?! Bad! Bad Hooty!" Luz criticized, Hooty then had a sad frown on his face and went back to his door.

  "Okay, so I asked Miss Eda and she said she would try to enroll me tomorrow," Hunter said as he entered the room. "Oh, that's great!.... Hunter? What happened after I was gone?" Luz asked, curious about Hunters past, but didn't want to ask it directly.

  "Oh um.... Well after you left, the guards searched high and low for you and around the entire Titan, every part. I continued training and had Lilith tutor me, I was a fast learner so I ended up finishing early. The guards quit searching after 3 years and Lilith decided to search for you, but came across... Miss Eda. Lilith was kicked, but turns out she wasn't. I was forced to go on missions and kill......lots......of.....people*sigh*.... Then I found you on that island and then all this happened...." Hunter said, about to cry, mentioning all he has been through.

  "Hunter...." Luz called out as she hugged Hunter tightly. "I'm going to introduce you to my friends, they make me feel better, so maybe they can do the same for you!" Luz said comforting Hunter.

  "I don't want to take your friends away from you though-", "You won't be taking them away.. they aren't those type of people!" Luz reassured Hunter.

  "*Sigh* Alright, I'll meet your friends. BUT! You must promise me to not get hurt when we fight your bully", "I thought I already did..... But alright, it's a promise" Luz said, shaking hands with Hunter.

  "CHIRP CHIRP!" Came a noise from the window.

  "FLAPJACK!!" Luz yelled running to the window to open it up. FlapJack flew in and immediately landed on the bed, staring at Hunter.

  "Hunter this Flapjack, the Palisman I've been telling you about!" Luz introduced, pointing out the bird on the bed. Hunter looked at the bird with caution, but waved his hand as a gester. "Chirp!" FlapJack went before flying over to Hunter.

  FlapJack already knew about Hunter and was very interested to see the boy in person. In a second FlapJack turned into his staff form and handed himself to Hunter. Hunter grabbed FlapJack and looked him, then at Luz. "Huh, he has never done that with me... We should ask Eda-", "I don't think that is necessary..."

  "Why?", "He told me.." Hunter answered.

  "You can understand him?" Luz asked, curious. "Yeah! I do! For..... Some odd..... Reason...."

  "Guess that means he is yours...." Luz said, Hunter looked at Luz stunned by what she said. "How? How is he mine?", "He chose you by handing himself to you in his staff form!" Luz said.

  "I remember grandma and grandpa saying that to me.." Luz said, missing her grandparents. Hunter looked at FlapJack who then turned back into a bird and perched himself on Hunters shoulder.

"Heh.... Guess I'm stuck with you, huh?", "Chirp! Chirp!" FlapJack answered. FlapJack cuddled Hunters cheek and Hunter hugged him back. Luz looked at the two, and decided to grab her magic scroll and take a photo of them, adoring the moment.
