The Owl House: Daughter of the Emperor

  Luz looked at the thief, gawking, and hopped off, thanks to her glyphs, attempting to catch the culprit.

   Luz hopped onto the boat they were on and caught them off guard, sending both of them to an island nearby. "You!" Luz called out as the person revealed who they were, "EDA?!" Luz yelled, shocked that Eda would do such a thing to steal. "Luz?! What were you doing on the Emperor's boat?!", "Emperor's boat? What are you talking about?! And WHY are you STEALING from them?!" Luz questioned furious at Eda. "Yes that's the Emperor's boat, notice the sigil? Honestly, they are the only ones worth stealing from..." Eda said looking away while crossing her arms.

  "Anyways that doesn't matter, but what are you doing here?!" Eda yelled at Luz pissed off with her for leaving and going to a ship for who knows what. "Well I was TRYING to earn you money!" Luz said, but after a second she realized that she yelled at her mom and remembered the money. "*Gasp* THE MONEY!" Luz yelled looking away and running towards the money when the tide came and washed it away. "NOO!" Luz screamed trying to not touch the water while reaching for the coins in the sand.

   After a few minutes of arguing about Luz joining the mission, another came along. "Oh great, now we are caught!", "We?!" Luz yelled at Eda. "Well I was hoping that this wouldn't take long, but it will..." A bit with a golden mask said during himself off. The boy had a red crystal on a staff, which he was holding, very tightly. "Well, the Owl Lady will go to jail and you will earn back the money she lost, unless one of you kills the Selkidomus, your decision" The boy said. "Luz..." Eda said looking at Luz telling her that she shouldn't do it with a look. "Fine!", "The Beast is right there in that cave" The boy said.

  "Luz!", "Eda, trust me! Ready to learn your first glyph?" Luz asked Eda holding up some plant glyphs. Eda looked at Luz with confusion, but followed her lead.

   As the boy had seen the 'horrific' scene, Luz came out tired and angry at him. "Eww, why touch it with your hands?!" The boy asked, "Just let us go whoever you are!"

  "Wait... You don't know who I am?" The boy asked.

  "Well how can I know if you don't tell me?"

  "I'm the Golden Guard, the Emperor's right hand man! I'm literally everywhere!"

  "Wait........you're....the e,Emperor's.....right hand man?!" Luz screamed, walking towards him slowly. "G-get away from me!" Golden Guard said backing away from Luz.

  "One step closer and I won't hesitate to smite you!"

  "Okay! Not like I want to be around you anyway" Luz said going to back to grab Eda.

  Eda and Luz managed to make it back home safely thanks to Luz's plant glyphs. "Sister! LUZ! There you two are! Where have you been all this time?!" Lilith asked frantically holding Luz closely, a little too close.

  "Turns out that Luz had decided to go on one of the Emperor's ships and look kill a Selkidomus", "Well if it's the Emperor's orders, we have to obey" Lilith defended.

  "But Luz, never run away like that, ever again." Lilith said looking at Luz dead straight into her eyes. Luz's head nodded rapidly causing her neck to hurt, "I'm going to go inside and play with King..." Luz said walking away.

   "Uh.... Lulu? You are being weird around Luz...." Hootysaid as he stretched his neck towards Lilith. "Hootsifer, I'm just watching over my niece." Lilith replied walking back inside. Eda looked at Lilith with a worried look and turned to Hooty who faced Eda with a scared look.

   It was already night and Luz was chatting on the crystal ball with Willow and Gus about fingers and abominations. "Sorry guys, I gotta go.." Luz said after looking at the time, Willow waved on camera while Gus was panicking, "But what about the THUMB?!" Gus last said as Luz shut off the crystal ball.

    Luz pushed the ball away and laid down on her mattress looking towards a photo she had. The photo had her, a strange woman, and a man on it, she didn't know who they were, but she felt that they were special. On the back of the photo was writing, but the writing was smudged from over the years.

   "Ready mi amor?" The man asked looking through a camera.

    "Always, are you ready Luz?"

   "Ah!! Heheeheehe" Luz giggled as the woman tickled her tummy. Luz was just a baby, only six months old.

  The man ran from behind the camera and posed with the two girls, all three of them then looked at the camera. The older man and woman said cheese while Luz looked at her reflection, and a snap was heard from the camera.

  Luz woke up from her sleep after her dream, sweating, wondering. Why was she with those people? Why did she imagine the scene from the photo? Who were they? Where were they?!

   The place looked nothing like the boiling isles, so there was no way they were here right?

   Luz got up and packed around the room thinking of many questions. She had flashbacks, but never these kind about some people she didn't know. Luz tried to remember what they looked like and looked back at the photo, their faces were crossed out, but their ears...... Their ears looked just like Luz's. Their ears were short, round, and the same color as her's. There was no way they could be her actual parents, right? Her actual dad, her father, was the Emperor, but she never had a mom.

   The closest person Luz had to a mom was Lilith, but after her betrayal and what she found out, she couldn't be her mom. Luz's mom would care for her, be there for her, and comfort her whenever she needed it. Luz knew that she felt those feelings of comfort, and not with her cousin, but her mom....

  Knock knock

"It's open!" Luz yelled, facing her back towards the door. "Luz! You have to come with me!" Lilith said yanking Luz out of the room and down the stairs.

   The entire place was a mess, Luz had her face filled with distraught. "Wha- what happened?!"

  "The Emperor! He took Eda, King, and Hootsifer!"

  "Well we have to go get them back!"

  "No Luz, it's too late....."

  "We have to! Or SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN TO THEM!!"

  "Alright, fine. But! You will need this!" Lilith said throwing Luz Eda's staff and grabbing her own.

   Luz looked at Lilith, but with determined eyes. Lilith could see the eyes Luz had and smiled, knowing everything was in session.
