Quick Note: I'm skipping the maze part, cause I want to move the story along and I don't want this book cluttered with puzzles from the games.

"I vote for no more puzzles, who's with me?" M/N spoke in irritation, raising his hand as a way to say he didn't want to see another puzzle again in his life. Ashley raised her hand with him, as Leon sighed, raising his hand as well. "Cool, let's hope we don't have to solve anymore tonight, or I swear I'm gonna snap," he grumbled as Ashley wrapped her arm around his. Her attention then went to Leon.
"You okay?" she asked the older man, who glanced their way.
"Yeah, no sweat." He nodded to her. She smiled sweetly at him. The trio walked into a big room with stairs going up to a statue, "ballroom must be this way." Leon said, leading them to the stairs.
"Look. There's a statue up there." Ashley told the two men. They went up the stairs, going to the statue, that looked to have slots in them for something to hold them. M/N glowered at the puzzle in front of them.
"What the fuck did I just say?" he growled in frustration. Ashley merely patted her twins back, trying to calm the angry twenty-year-old. Leon whistled to the two, causing them to look over and see him standing beside a door. The twins follow the older man through the door, coming to a nice dining room. M/N looked around, admiring the change of scenery from the last two stops he was in.
"This place is so pretty," M/N spoke.
"But terrifying," Ashley finished his thought, causing her brother to chuckle at that. Leon went over to the statue in a cage, his companions following behind.
"Statue of some snakes... Huh, a dining hall." Leon said, turning away from the statue and walking over to the tables. The twins stood on the other side of the table, looking at all of the plates, cups, and silverware that lay on the tables.
"Eat? Here? No thanks..." Ashley said, shaking her head.
"Yeah, I'm gonna have to side with Ash on this one. It's a no go here," M/N said, looking at the table. Leon looked at the twins before departing from them and going over to two paintings.
"So, uh. You do a lot of missions like this?" Ashley asked, looking over at him. Leon turned to look at her, nodding.
"Well, yeah, but I'm not used to having such good company," Leon said awkwardly. Ashley chuckled, crossing her arms.
"... Is that a compliment?" She asked with a hint of teasing.
"Take it however you want." He scoffed lightly. He walked over towards them, going to one of the chairs on the first tables before telling Ashley to sit there. She looked confused, but complied anyways, sitting down. M/N watched as Leon went to another chair and sat down.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Just watch. Okay Ash, when I press this bell you press yours, alright?" He asked.
"K," she nodded, raising her hand towards the bell. Leon rang his bell with Ashley also ringing hers. The same note played through the room, causing the snake statue to be released from its cage.
"Huh, that actually worked." M/N seemed impressed with them.
"Leon! M/N!" Ashley exclaimed excitedly, pointing at the statue. M/N and Leon both smiled at her child-like behavior.
"Looks like we figured it out." He said. M/N went to the statue and took the snake head.
"Right, let's just put this stupid head on its mantel." M/N sighed going back to Leon and shoving it into his chest.
"Ow! Hey, that hurt you know!" Leon shouted as M/N grabbed his sister's hand and went towards the door.
"Oops, my bad, hopefully I didn't hurt your pride pretty boy." M/N smirked. Ashley leaned into her brother's side, whispering into his ear.
"Your gay is showing little brother," she commented. He shoved her lightly with a laugh. When they get back, he's definitely getting her back. They will make it out of this. They have Leon on their side after all.
Note: a long awaited chapter, that's short but also good. Not M/N getting pissed at the puzzles in the castle lmao I had already watched Death Island, and let me tell you, I have so many plans for that part of the story, yay!
I don't think I have a name for the OC that Ash likes, so can y'all come up with a name for her? Also, should I make an AroAce best friend oc for Ash and M/N from their University?
So, how's it going so far? Also, in the next chapter I'm skipping the puzzle for the snake. I really despise puzzles, thanks to Uncharted 😭
