m/n followed after Leon to a set of stairs, climbing over a railing with the help of the older man as he still felt gross from the bug from before. the younger man jumped when Leon started to shoot more of the bugs that came from hiding, he wasn't gonna get sprayed by those fuckers again, he already had dried guts on his shirt, pants, and hair, he don't need no more. they went up the stairs and to another room, m/n looked outside the window and saw a clock tower. it was way too much they had to do, and m/n wasn't sure how much shit he could put up with this place, "m/n, come on, through here," came the voice of Leon, who waited for m/n by one of the shelves, the door they needed to go through around the corner.
"all right," m/n nodded and followed the man to the door and out the other side and to a big room that looked as though it was renovating for something. was this the ball room? Leon turned towards the young man and unhooked his rifle, handing it to m/n who looked at him with a raised brow.
"do you know how to use this?" he asked him as m/n took the rifle.
"only in games," m/n said, "why?" he asked, looking at the older male.
"because, if there are more of those bugs down there, i need you to shoot them while I get that gate open for us," leon explained, pointing towards a gate that was locked up.
"okay." he nodded, "how hard could it be, right?" he asked the man who went towards the stairs. m/n went straight to the railings and did as he was told, and surprisingly, he was a great shot with the rifle, even if this was his first time using it. the kick back though was a pain in the ass and was irritating him, but he got through it as Leon pulled both levers with m/n still shooting at the bugs with hatred (he hated bugs, especially spiders, those things are creepy). m/n saw Leon waving at him to come down, and m/n did, putting the rifle over his shoulder as he went down the stairs and to Leon, a big smile on his face at how well he was doing at this. Leon returned his smile as he gently took the gun away from him and put it back around his own shoulder.
"Come on, we gotta get to your sister," he said, grabbing the others arm and pulling him through the door. m/n was startled when that weird guy laughed through the coms above them, Leon let his arm go as the two men looked up at the sky.
"oh, Mr. Kennedy. not much of a knight, are you? Your princess is a spirited individual. nothing like her brother, i'm sure. I must say, she gave us a considerable amount of trouble!" the man said, mentioning m/n for a brief time, which kind of offended him.
m/n frowned, "I kind of feel left out now..." Leon ignored his words and led the younger man to double doors. The two went into the room, to be met with their enemies and two giant creatures chained in the back.
"great, there's two of them." Leon said in annoyance, already pointing his gun at the creatures in front of them. m/n looked at the agent in worry, wondering if they could take these two big creatures whilst taking down the smaller creatures. "m/n! Hide! Now!" Leon shouted at the boy who only nodded, running out of the room and to a hall, hoping that Leon could take them down by himself. He was beyond terrified at this point, wishing he was back home in his father's arms as he read to the twins one of their favorite books from their childhood. He just wanted this to end, all of it.
The fighting and gun fire finally ceased as m/n had covered his ears in fright. He hoped that Leon made it, but his heart raced behind his ribs as he heard the footsteps of someone running towards his hiding spot, they stopped at the end of the hall, not being able to see him in the shadow, "m/n come on, we've gotta go," Leon spoke out, causing the boy to look up and see him at the end of the hall, looking around for him. m/n quickly got to his feet and ran to Leon, hugging him tightly around the shoulders, tears threatening to fall from his already blood shot eyes.
"I thought you were a goner," he spoke quietly, causing Leon to squeeze his waist to show he wasn't going anywhere.
"It's hard to get rid of me, come on, we gotta get Ashley," they let go as Leon grabbed his hand and dragged them to the red door, the gate already opened for them thanks to Leon.
"Nooo! No!" They heard Ashley exclaim behind the door. The two pushed open the large door, Leon holding his hand gun up as the two went into the room.
"Ashley!" The two men shouted, looking at the girl who was brought to her knees with blood on her face. What kind of fucked up place is this anyways?
"Leon! m/n! No! Don't come any closer!" Ashley told the two, both of them stopping at the hole in front of them, their eyes never leaving her. All m/n wanted to do was get his sister back with them.
"Are you hurt?" Leon asked her.
"Watch out!" Leon and m/n looked up and saw the giant bug jump from the room and towards them. m/n was the only one to jump out of the way and to the side whilst Leon was pinned against the ground by its feet. Without realizing it, m/n had set his hand a flame, but a claw of some sort went to his neck before he could even set the bug creature on fire. m/n kneeled there, a glare pointed at the creature.
"Please. Do continue." Ramon spoke from his throne as m/n put the fire out, his eyes going to watch his sister.
"No! No! Please! Let me go!" Ashley exclaimed.
"Do not resist, my dear. It serves only to make your suffering all the worse." Ramon said as one the creatures with black liquid came to her and started to dump it down her throat.
"You sick--" Leon was cut off when Ashley started to cough from the stuff.
"Ashley!" m/n exclaimed, wanting to go to her but the claw to his neck prevented it.
"Don't think I've forgotten about you m/n," the man said as the bug grabbed Leon, holding him over the hole. "This is farewell, Mr. Kennedy." He spoke in Spanish as the bug dropped the older man down the hole.
"Leon!" The twins exclaimed, watching the man disappear in the darkness.
"Grab the boy," Ramon said to the bug thing, m/n closed his eyes before opening them, golden rims encircled his iris's as he set his arms on fire. The creature tried to grab him, but he was to quick. He was now standing behind the creature, near the giant hole Leon fell down
"m/n!" He looked over to his sister, her eyes told him all he needed. Her eyes told him to go, and he did, the fire dissipating as he fell back in the hole.
"No!" He heard Ramon scream. Hopefully Leon catches him like always. He yells out, getting closer to the ground, just as a hand grabbed his, stopping him.
"m/n!?" Leon's voice rang from the cave. m/n looked up to see Leon holding onto a peice of chain. Leon looked pissed and confused, and the younger boy new he would be having to deal with this man's attitude of not getting Ashley back like they wanted. That was great.
