m/n walked ahead of the two older men as the lift finally stopped at the top, the dead actually staying dead for once. Luis and Leon hurried after him up the stairs, and when m/n opened the door, he was grabbed by the back of his shirt before he could've fallen from the cliff in front of them. "Whoa!" m/n exclaimed, his eyes wide, the giant clock behind them chiming.
"You need to be careful m/n, this isn't a game." Leon scolded, pulling him back to the shorter male's side.
"Who the fuck designed this castle?" m/n asked, a bit terrified of the height but also pissed that they needed to go through another obstacle.
"How much do you wanna bet it was Salazar's family?" Luis asked, loading more bullets into his gun. m/n rolled his eyes at the other male's comment.
"The sarcasm, Luis. Why are you being sarcastic lately?" m/n smiled as the trio walked along the path of the clock tower, his mind racing at the height they were at.
"It's my coping mechanism." Luis chuckled, taking the rear as Leon took the front, leaving the younger male in the middle. Leon took his binoculars out as the two taller men stood on either side of him.
"Ashley!" Leon exclaimed. m/n took the binoculars away from Leon and saw Ramon and his two minions bring Ashley into the building.
"Oh, I'm gonna kill that asshole." m/n growled, handing the shorter male the binoculars. The two men watched for a moment as m/n walked away from them before following after, a little nervous to let the furious younger male be alone. He jumped down the ladder with the two still following as he made it to this unstable part.
"One at a time, if we all go at the same time we might fall." m/n said, going first.
"Wait, m/n, maybe I should go first." Leon stopped him.
"Thanks Leon, but I got this." m/n winked at him as he continued across the bridge. Leon went next then Luis, and they repeated one other time before they ran into more of those creatures. "Oh, you bastards are giving me a damn headache." Before Leon and m/n could do anything, Luis had already shot the creatures in the head. Both men looked towards the Spaniard in surprise at how quick he was. m/n really hoped he didn't accidentally give the older man agility or some shit. He wouldn't know how to explain that to his dad. Leon ignored it, before leading them to the door.
"Well, hopefully we can get Ash and then find a way out of this shit hole." m/n spoke as Leon and Luis pushed the door open, Ramon's voice being heard as they walked into the room.
"And so, I have delivered the girl to you, as promised! The boy however, is a bit more difficult," Ramon spoke, gently caressing the blonde's face. "So tell our Lord to not forget the loyalty of his servant, Ramon." The three ran up the stairs, watching as Krauser take Ashley away, the bridge slowly raising.
"Ashley!" Leon and m/n exclaimed, the young girl looking up and raising her arm towards the two in a weak attempt to ask for help.
"Leon! m/n!" She cried as the bridge finally sealed the door. Leon and Luis had their guns trained on Ramon, who slowly turned around to look at the trio.
"Such a fool, Mr. Kennedy." He addressed Leon, ignoring the other two for a moment, "to have been bestowed with Lord Saddler's grace, and yet fail to --"
"You talk too much." Leon said, shooting the shorter male in the chest multiple times as Luis shot the white haired male in the head.
"You vulgar, utterly uncivilized --" Leon shot him in the head also, noticing that Luis had missed the brain, which resulted in the short man falling off the platform beneath them. "Mongrel..." Was his last words.
"That was a little... Anticlimactic." m/n spoke as Leon looked for a way down for them. They then heard laughter, "okay, spoke too soon." m/n gulped, not ready to see the fucker again.
"Allow me to show you... The power I have been granted by my master. The power of God!" A giant mutated creature lept upwards, which made Luis pull the younger male towards him a bit so he wouldn't get hit by the creature. "The stage is set for the final act!" They finally got a good look at Ramon, as he projectile vomited dark acid at them. The trio jumped from the ledge, all of them nearly dodging just in time.
"You just had to open your mouth, didn't you?" Luis glared over at his friend who gave him a nervous smile.
"m/n, stay here with Luis while I take care of Ramon." Leon spoke, reloading his gun. m/n looked over at him surprise.
"What? Fuck no!" m/n exclaimed.
"I was sent to protect you and Ashley, not the other way around, so you stay here and you listen. Luis, don't let him do anything stupid." Luis nodded.
"You're nothing but an extra in my script, Mr. Kennedy. So don't get too carried away. Your biggest scene is over." Ramon mocked the agent.
"Leave me out of your crappy script." Leon said, going up more stairs to the actual platform Ramon fell from prior. The two friends watched him leave to fight the creature.
"We can't just let him do this on his own." m/n said, looking over at the Spaniard.
"We're not," Luis smirked, grabbing the lighter he stole back from m/n and throwing it to him. "Let's show that bastard who he's messing with." m/n smirked after, and took the fire from the lighter. They would should Ramon just who he was messing with.
note: short chapter, but hey, next chapter you'll be fighting off Ramon. Sorry if Luis doesn't have many lines or if he sounds ooc (no, he doesn't have any abilities, he just has quick timing). I'll be going through each chapter later when this book is finished to edit and change things around, I'm surprised y'all are still reading this. It's so cringe and yet, I love this story so much T-T also, y'all should really check out my Donna Beneviento story, it only has like, the prologue, but it's still good. I just need to figure the first chapter out lol
