I lived before you came,
And I will survive if you leave,
But you bring more joy to my life,
More sunshine on the rainy days,

I love to hear you laugh,
I love the sound of my name on your lips.
You make me less battered
And less bruised.No, you don't take the rain away
On the stormy night,
But you are the canopy under which I can wait for the storm to pass.
You bring your fair share of troubles,
But I'll take them all in stride.It's funny
How I didn't search for you.
I didn't even know I needed you,
And now that I have gotten a taste of you,
I can't let you go.You promised to stay
I hope you do,
Because I don't want to go back to how it was before.
