You hurt me
You left me
After a couple of times
It seemed normal
But the pain I felt
Never subsided
One time
You stayed away longer than you used to
And in that space of time
I learned to unlove you
I learned to be without you
And to survive
Because I had gotten myself
A heart of ice
But the day you came back
Everything else did
Your pretty smile
Your dark hair
Your cute face
Your pretty eyes
Your sweet compliments
All your charm
And the butterflies in my stomach
Every time you looked at me
So I started to love again
And the heart of ice that I had gotten myself
Melted into a gooey puddle of love
