You treat me like I'm just a robot or servant
Who only exists to do all that you wish
To talk when I'm asked to
And know when to shut up
Then you say that you love me
You don't even know meI can't look too bad
I can't look too prettyI can't talk too loud
I can't talk too quietlyI can't be reserved
Not too outgoingMy worth is measured
By a letter or numbersSo I must get good grades
And make you proud parentsYou give me some money
Then tell me how to spend itYou care for me
And use it to guilt meYou forget I'm human
Who needs support and attention
Love and understanding
And space when it's called for
I should have a say too
You're not always right
