Chapter 16

Kibum's heart was racing too, wondering what Ryeowook would say. Somewhere in his heart, he was hoping Ryeowook would say no and choose him.

"I - I don't know."

Kyuhyun's heart sank, "But - but I thought we broke up with those people so we could ... get together."

"I - I - "

"Don't push him." Kibum snarled protectively.

"We need to talk to understand each other." Kyuhyun said firmly, "Ryeowook, is it because you miss Yesung?"

"I said, I don't know." Ryeowook said miserably, "I guess .. I just ... I'm scared."

"Of what? Me? I won't hurt you anymore, I promise." Kyuhyun felt hurt thinking that Ryeowook didn't trust him.

"I think it's just too soon for him, alright?" Kibum stepped in, knowing Ryeowook would appreciate it. "Give him a week, is that alright with you, Wookie? One week to get over Yesung hyung and think it through?"

Ryeowook puffed out his cheeks and nodded, "Kibummie, my neck is cold." Ryeowook whined, "Let's go home, Kyukyu can come too."

Kyuhyun's heart leapt when he heard Ryeowook's new nickname for him. Kyukyu.

"Sure, thanks." he smiled, glad that Ryeowook had invited him over, "We only have two weeks of snow left now, and then you won't be cold."

"But I like snow." Ryeowook pouted, "Even if it makes me cold, it's white and fluffy. But the other seasons are better for us."

Kyuhyun knew what he meant. They would have to work harder to afford things in the winter, and they didn't have proper warm clothing. "Where do you work, Wookie?" Kyuhyun asked, wondering.

"I work at a candy shop, I've been working there for years." Ryeowook said proudly, "I usually work there on Weekends only, since I have school during the day. And I work as a waiter at a restaurant from 6 to 8:30 every weekday, so I still have some time with you guys before going."

"I can drop you off on my way home. I usually drive, but there was too much snow today so I walked. So for today I'll walk you to work. Tomorrow I can drive you." Kyuhyun couldn't stop babbling.

"I'll go too." Kibum said quickly, "I usually stay around there to make sure he's alright."

"I can do that too!" Kyuhyun suggested. He wanted to make sure he didn't miss out on anything that would show he cared for Ryeowook.

"There's no need. I just sit and do my homework there, nothing much." Kibum said, trying to keep Kyuhyun away.

"Good, then I can sit there with you and we can help each other out. And when does Wook do his homework?"
