FALLING FOR MY RIVAL

Chapter 6:

 Freen's Pov :

" Shit! I am late.... "

I exclaimed looking at the time of my wrist watch. I was panting while leaving hurriedly from the school campus as I was struggling hard to catch up with my breath. I cursed at myself for waking up late on a weekend and getting busy with the students' council work afterwards, that now everyone's looking at me while I'm running like a lunatic. Guess, I don't have any time to respond at your stares as I am getting super late for apologizing to Khun Lek for yesterday's incident. I was supposed to go meet him at late in the morning but now it's already afternoon and haven't reached at his place yet.

I quickly went towards the road of our school's backside garden which would take me to the way to his place. Khun Lek is an old aged man in his mid-seventies, who owns a small nursery located on a large yard land which he uses for gardening. He is a very grumpy, children unfriendly man who doesn't adore cute and sweet teenagers like me, okay...fine naughty added.

His place is very close to our campus and it just takes less than a quarter of an hour to cover the distance. Within a couple of minutes I reached at his place and paused at the main gate to catch my breath. I quickly checked my watch to realize that it's very late and I have to inform my friends that today I can't make time for them. I took out my phone to text my friends in our chat group.

Freen : " Guys! Looks like I can't hang out with you as per our plan."

Kade : " Why???"

Freen: "It's already late and I haven't apologized to Khun Lek yet. I can't make it today so you guys carry on."

Tee: "It's okay Freen, take your time. We will go another day together."

Jim: "Hmm...yes we will not go without you."

Freen: "Okay guys... whatever you say."

I texted back and put my phone inside my sweatpants pocket. I sighed for a second and decided to get inside. I looked at the place I am standing at, having an open land area with wooden fencing surrounding all around and a medium-sized wooden main gate as the only possible entrance.

I opened the gate and got inside to quickly finish my job here and leave soon as possible. I was walking around the garden while looking for Khun Lek, when I suddenly got bumped with this person carrying a basket and fell on the ground on my bum.

"Ahhh...!" I shrieked in pain.

"Ouch!...What's wrong with you? Can't you see ..." that person said with her eyes half shut while massaging her forehead.

"Excuse me! What's wrong with you? You came uninformed suddenly out of nowhere..." I charged back and tried to stand up while rubbing my butt.

My eyes were still closed due to pain and thus can't notice the person I bumped with. But when I realized the voice being familiar, I then quickly tried to look at the person.

"Uff...Becky..it's you who's walking carelessly while carrying something on her hand." I stated indifferently.

"Oh..hello! Not me... it's you who's blindly walking and bumping with everyone." She scoffed while replying.

"Huh! everyone.... What do you mean? And by the way what the hell are you doing here?" I asked with furrowed brows.

" You know exactly what I meant by everyone. And yeah I am here for the very same reason you are here for....Now get out of my way I need to work."

She replied and started picking the flowers from the ground that got dropped from the basket she was carrying before we bumped with each other. I was confused with her answer as I expected Khun Lek to complain about me only because he got hit by my throw. But if he complained about her as well then why's she working here instead of apologizing, or is she trying to buttering or what. I quickly held her arm to stop her from leaving without clearing my doubts.

"Wait...what are you exactly doing here cause I am here for apologizing as Khun Lek approached my aun...I mean my principal but you didn't do anything to him yesterday then how come you are here? " I curiously asked her.

" Probably you should ask him only and also why do you care...." She answered shrugging off.

"Okay wait...Have you seen Khun Lek anywhere? As you are also here to apologize..." I asked stopping her again

"No...not yet and now leave me alone I need to help someone with this." She replied harshly.

I was about to respond to her rude behaviour but I stopped when a middle aged lady probably in her sixties approached us.

"Kids...what's going on here?"
