FALLING FOR MY RIVAL

Chapter 10:

Though I have agreed with Becky's offer but only I know how terrible my condition is right now. I am very scared and nervous from the core but I can't reveal my vulnerable side to anyone. I know everything is fake and artificial, but also just hoping that I don't get to see blood inside otherwise it would be difficult for me to resist fainting.

Our team followed Becky and her teammates from behind inside the haunted mansion when suddenly Becky stopped and turned around.

"Okay everyone...we have reached at our starting point. Now from here Freen, your and my team will divide and choose our individual paths. Let's see whose team gets out of the mansion in their best condition before the other." Becky excitedly exclaimed.

Becky and her team left leaving us behind towards their chosen route after announcing an awfully scary competition which is merely possible for me to win in this situation. But I am a fighter and fighters don't give up so easily not in front of Becky's cheap tricks to prove all of my inner fears accurate.

I sighed and took the different stairs with my friends from Becky's after deciding to move forward with heavy heart. My friends were scared too especially Jim cause with every passing second she screams on our spooky surrounding that it makes my anxiety rise.

We were walking through the hallway and were trying our best to find an escape way when we entered the first room and...

"Ahh....Aaaaahhh.." Jim and Kade started shouting.

My voice got slightly raised too in panic when all of a sudden a cauldron of bats started coming outside from the room. Gosh I thought it was all artificial then from where the fuck did these real bats came.

After the bats left, we slowly paced forward with our hearts abnormally beating. I nervously looked around to ensure that it was only four of us around not more not less. We were moving inside when we heard a loud scream of a group.

"What happened...Did you guys heard those screams..." Kade said in terror.

"Yes...they are familiar too..." Jim nervously replied.

"Aaaa....Ahhh...aaaaahhhhhhh..."

When we again heard those sharp squeals we decided to follow them. Within a few seconds we reached at the destination from where the screams were coming earlier to come across Becky and her friends terrorized faces.

"What wrong? What happenend?" Tee questioned.

"The.. painting...the painting of this woman suddenly changed into a man." Yuki pointed at the hanging portrait of an old man.

"Oh you guys were crying loudly for this stupid painting change illusion? I thought your leader was the pro here." I scoffed.

"Shut up...this isn't funny, I am genuinely scared." Becky pouted.

We were discussing only when Jim yelled while pointing her hand back at the place where the painting was hanging. When we looked back our jaws dropped in unison at the sight of the empty wall where now there are no traces of that painting of neither a man nor a woman... around.

While we were about to raise our suspicion concerning its abrupt disappearance, suddenly the doors and windows of the room we are currently standing got self closed making all of us scream and howl in fear.

We all panicked and started knocking on different doors and windows after splitting ourselves. My knees were trembling with anxiety and my heartbeats were not in control making me gasp for more air to stabilize myself. We all stopped and then gathered at the centre after trying our best to unlock the doors.

"No...the front door is not opening" Tee said.

"So do the backside one" I replied back.

"Neither do the windows...." Yuki, Becky and Jim replied in unison.

"No...way..not possible. Everything is locked, can't open any." Cher sighed.

"What how come they betray us. It was not a part of our plan to scare us and get us locked here too..." Becky annoyedly blurted making me frown.

"Becky..." Her friends hissed while calling her to stop.

"What...! What do you mean by you not a part of our plan..." I glared at her with my cold and already raged eyes.
