FALLING FOR MY RIVAL

Chapter 15:

Becky's Pov:

I was very excited in the beginning for trying the most awaited and desired ride of my life. But every bit of excitement vanished into thin air when my gaze fell on my pale looking enemy. Freen's condition was something which would be the last thing I would like to see on her again. I wanted to try few more rides but decided not to after witnessing her current state. Yes, she might be my rival but I don't know why I panicked so much when I found her in that condition.

She might be also wondering why I haven't mocked her yet after discovering her weaknesses. But only I know how my inner self sank when she was terribly losing her consciousness and how much I got frightened when she was not responding for a while. This is the first time I felt sympathetic towards her and didn't want to upset her any further, instead wanted her to enjoy rest of the day with happiness and good memories.

We were standing and talking only when my eyes met at the sight of a little candy floss cart positioned at the middle of the rides section. I immediately ran towards that direction to pacify my sweet cravings. I offered her but she rejected it so I continued devouring it in my own world when I heard Freen's chuckle and her words.

"Messy eater..."

I sulked and was about to speak but stopped when her lips twitched into a sweet smile. I was completely taken aback when her hand reached my mouth to clean the mess around it. My eyes quickly went up to meet hers and now we are looking at each other's eyes intently. What....did you hear that sound? Why my heart is beating so fast all of a sudden.

Suddenly she started getting closer to me covering the gap in between us. At this moment we were standing just a few centimeters apart when she swiftly placed her right hand on my left cheek. I can feel something strange building up in my upper abdomen. God, I'm just not in control right now, what is this strange feeling I am experiencing.

I can now feel her thumb gently brushing the skin of my cheek making my knees turn weak. She is slowly bringing her face closer to mine and I don't know why my body is not moving at all at this point. Unconsciously, my eyes got closed while I patiently waited for something.

"Becky..."

I heard her shouting and pulling me by my hands to the side. I quickly opened my eyes to know the reason for her strange behavior when seconds before we were so close to something else. I then realized it was all because of a bunch of people crazily running towards us from the opposite direction like fans chasing their idols.

"Becky...are you okay?"

I heard Freen's concerning voice and immediately nodded to let her know I was fine.

"Freen...what's going on? Why everyone's running in that direction? What's the reason?" I asked.

"I myself don't know what's going on, we were just standing there when I saw them approaching towards us from the opposite side. As soon as I realized I just pulled you aside. Are you fine? Did you get hurt anywhere?" She questioned again.

It took me few minutes to process everything what was going on before between us. My cheeks started heating up in embarrassment when I recalled what I was expecting and waiting for which certainly got interrupted by these group of people.

"Thank you for helping me. And yes I am very fine. Don't worry"

"But why they are all running towards that direction. Let's go there to find out." I added.

I didn't want her to know exactly what I was feeling and tried to distract that matter. She nodded her head in agreement and we followed the same direction the bunch of people went from earlier. As soon as we walked a few steps we both halted when we came across a large crowd in front. We went closer into that crowd to finally realize the excitement of the people around.
