FALLING FOR MY RIVAL

Chapter 11:

"What...! What do you mean by you not a part of our plan..." I furrowed my brows.

Silence....

"Tell me...!! I want an answer"

"Ah...aaa..it's nothing significant." Becky stuttered.

"How come you say nothing significant when you yourself blurted something about your involvement with our current situation. So now stop pretending and answer before I lose all my patience and do something which would be the last thing you ever expected." I pressed her while everyone intently looking at her.

"Okay fine...I probably arranged to scare you and your friends in this haunted mansion." Becky shouted.

"What...What did you do..." Jim's eyes widened at Becky's word.

"Haa..I knew that it was you behind all of these unscrupulous spooky acts." I shrugged with confirmation.

"How can you...? And Yuki you too did this to me...I mean us" Tee questioned.

"No..no..Tee..you are getting me wrong, it just...."

Yuki's words were cut when suddenly the lights of the room started flickering at a rapid rate scaring the hell out of us. We all panicked in terror and started running randomly in every direction while screaming at the top of our lungs.

After a while, suddenly the lights got off completely and at the same time we heard the unlocking sounds of the door. As soon as the doors got opened, we all ran towards any direction our eyes took us to flee from there.

Just after leaving that room from the backside door I looked back when I noticed that I was standing at an unfamiliar hallway different from the one which we took earlier in complete darkness all by myself. We all got separated from each other and chose different paths in nervousness and chaos.

I trembled uncontrollably when I realized that I was alone and there is no one to accompany me to find a way out of this place. I was anxious and with every passing second my heart's beating rates were increasing making me feel slightly dizzy.

I gathered every ounce of courage to keep my pieces altogether and slowly marched forward. It was very difficult to walk and find a way when everything around you was all in dark. I was pacing forward when I walked into someone and hit our heads together making both of us groan in pain.

"Ahh..Who's this stupid person coming in between my way?" That person called out.

"Oh Lord Buddha!... It could have been anyone but not you again Becky." I sighed.

"Gosh...! What's wrong with my fate today that I am just running into you only." Becky replied with disappointment.

"Don't blame your fate for your nasty deeds..." I stated.

"Excuse me...what do you mean?" Becky questioned me.

"Yeah...it could have been avoided if you hadn't persisted earlier for signing me up in your evil doings." I responded.

"It was all because of you that I got myself here into this danger." Becky fought back.

"Yeah...because of your childishness you trapped every one of us here and brought threat to our lives" I replied with indifference.

"Okay fine... I admit that I acted a bit immature here but you should also remember that you pushed me to this level." Becky argued.

"Yes.. to this level where everyone's life can get at risk." I stated.

"No...not at all I never expected this to happen. We just tried to scare you guys and teach you a lesson for always messing with us. That's it." Becky reasoned out.

"Yup and you never knew that you were digging your own grave while setting us." I scoffed.

"Sarochaa...you..." Becky was about to say something when I cut her words.

"Okay enough with your bickering. This will not help us to get out of here. Let's go find our way together." I explained.

"No way...I'm not going with you. I will find my own way." Becky replied.

"Okay fine...As you wish."

I replied back and turned to leave forward after sensing Becky's departing figure. I sighed and curled my fingers to encourage myself to find a way out of this villa.

I just walked a few steps when someone came running towards me from the back and hugged me from behind. I turned back to see Becky adjusting herself to hug me from the front while drowning her head into my collarbone. This act of her was just sending me unknown sensation all over my body. I tried to hold her cheeks to face her face but she resisted when I questioned.

"What happened you back? Weren't you finding your way on your own.?"

"No...not finding anymore. Now I will find it with you only." She nervously muttered into my neck.

"Oh..what changed? Did something spooky come in your way?" I chuckled.

"Yes...and let me accompany you to find our way." She replied under my skin.

"Oh but you declined my offer earlier. Now I have to reconsider it." I teased her.

"Please Freen, I am sincerely requesting. Please, let me stay with you." She replied this time looking at my face while still hugging me.

"Okay..okay fine I accept your sincerity. Now will you please leave my embrace so we can find a way out." I said while pulling her out from the hug.

"No..please let me stay like this only. I am scared and it feels safe." She said while tightening her hold around my waist.

"Becky..." I sighed and turned around to find an escape route when I realized she is not leaving her hold on me.
