FALLING FOR MY RIVAL

Chapter 3:

Becky's Pov :

I was so shocked when the "Baby Shark" video appeared on the screen instead of our sincerely prepared gratitude video for our seniors. I was confused while looking at the wrong video being played at the screen. I signalled Yuki to stop playing it who was equally confused like me and others and our friends Cher and Risa. While I was thinking about the abrupt change in the video and our possible mistakes, my eyes suddenly went at the roof top of our rivals who were standing and laughing like freaks and looking like idiots while doing so.

It didn't took us much to figure out , this were all their doings. We were watching at each other and my friends were giving me looks like ' do something and fetch us from this embarrassing situation'. As obviously I was the leader of our group and my group mates have to rely on me to fix this, so yes I need to quickly come with a plan.

I again looked back at the roof top to find Freen and her gang laughing and jumping like monkeys. Oh ! such a shame , guess this happiness and that big grin on your faces won't last long and fade away within seconds when I come up with my act.

"Sorry guys ....."

I paused for a while to look back at Freen and gave her an embarrassed look to make her believe that she won until I surprise her.

"You might be astonished and expected a farewell video instead of 'Baby Shark' . But...don't worry this was a part of our plan . Before showing our actual video of gratitude which could be a little bit emotional, first we needed to lighten the intense atmosphere. So, if someone feel sad or emotional while watching , they can recall the prior funny moment ."

"So, there you go guys....."

I ended my long convincing speech before gesturing Yuki to start our real video. While it continued playing on the screen , I peeked at Freen with a slight smirk on my face to tell how her plan miserably failed.

We concluded our event and pulled it together successfully at the end. I was kind of happy as it ended on a good note but somewhere blamed myself for being careless and let them disrupt our event. I was wondering while my friends came and awakened me from my thoughts.

" Becky.... How did this happen ? When did they sneak in? " Yuki questioned astoundingly.

" Yeah...we were always around. How did they enter and managed to execute it under our nose ? Risa asked.

"Obviously they sneak in when we all got busy with our duties. " Cher replied.

"Yes...it was all my fault. I should have been more responsible and secured everything, instead I let it slip so easily and disappointed everyone." I said with a sigh.

" Oh..ho Becky... you alone aren't responsible we equally are...Stop blaming yourself ." Yuki replied cutting me off.

"Though we almost give up but the way you handled everything was quite impressive. They didn't expect that we had backup and it was quite a sight to see their blank expression." Risa cheerfully stated.

Yup, it was very soothing to see Freen lose awfully in her own plan . Guess , they forgot technology is not the same as before and can't realize we can have easy backups in other devices. This was the biggest flaw in their mission and which helped us gain extra brownie points.

" Right...there is no doubt you're the leader of our 'Quad-X' gang and the only eligible candidate for representing as students' president." Cher impressively said.

"True Cher.....there is no one better than Becky for this position."

Our conversation got interrupted with a familiar voice. We were standing and discussing at the hallway near the stage was, when we heard her. I quickly turned back to look towards the direction of the voice to find her approaching us .

" P'Charlotte ...what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to go meet and greet our teachers and other seniors? " I excitedly asked.

" Yeah ..I have already met with everyone but just you. So, I came by here to bid goodbye to my favourite nong for the last time." She replied cheerfully.

" Oh! Phi only she....not we are your favourites ." Yuki said teasingly.

"No..no...Yuki ,you and your 'Quad-X' gang all are my favourites..." P'Char replied assuring her.

" But...I also came here to tell few things because something was bothering me about the incident which took place at the event earlier." She added.

" P'Char it was nothing ...." I was replying while she cut me off.

" Look Becky... you don't have to lie. I know everything that happened or who were behind it . But I'm just asking how many more years will this rivalry continue or when will it even end. " She concernedly stated.

"Ohh..Phi you know it's not possible and the rivalry between the two schools are going on for ages." I answered shrugging off.

Indeed this rivalry is persisting from a long time between the students of two schools and now it has became more like a tradition. It has now turned into a reflex action among the students and this thing gets self-transmitted into the fresher's as well. Even our principals' also doesn't talk and hate each other's sight and everyone says that's where it all started.

" Phi ..see I understand your concern but if it's not me then there are others to continue this . It's your graduation be happy and cheerful, why are you stressing about this trivial things . Just let things be and you have a lot of other stuffs to stress about mentioning your university..." I added assuring her.

After discussing about other matters and reassuring her about everything we ended our conversation and bid her a final goodbye. Before leaving she praised me more, that how I was perfect candidate to take over all the responsibilities after her. I was so happy to hear such sweet words from her because during my freshmen years she has always been my inspiration , my mentor , my idol and my favourite senior. She has always been a winner and brought many victories against our rivals. I will also follow her path and after today's incident we quickly need to score up with Freen and our rivals.

A/N : Such a long chapter and yet no Freenbecky scene ,then sorry guys. Hoping in the next chapter there might be some and remember it's Becky's time to level up.
