Luciana Point of View:
I proudly grinned as I left the diner. The beautiful red haired waitress's phone number was on a folded piece of paper in my nearly dry pocket.
As I put the coins into the pay phone, my grin faded. This phone looked like it was hit by a car or two, It didn't seem like it was going to work. I sighed in relief as it began to ring. The number was unknown, who knows if Lorenzo would actually pick up his phone.
If he was annoyed, he definitely wouldn't pick up the phone. If was his normal asshole self, he for sure wouldn't answer. Overall, my chances of him answering were very slim.
"Who the fuck is this", He grumbled.
I smiled, my heart still pounding in my chest, "Lorenzo, it's me."
"Luciana? What the fuck, we were supposed to meet last night at that club", He growled.
"It's a long story and I don't have time-"
"You better start explaining."
"Would you fucking listen. I am on a pay phone so I actually don't have time to explain", I paused to control myself, "Now if you want to come get me, I suggest you shut the fuck up."
He stayed silent. I could still feel his rage flowing through the phone.
"I'm by this diner...", I glanced around, hoping to spot any street signs to help give him a better idea of my location, "By North Corners."
"Me and Alessio are getting into the car now, stay clo-"
The call dropped as my little bit of money ran out. I sighed as I slammed the phone back onto the hook. I had no idea how long it would take them to get here.
I sat down on the curb and ate my leftover waffles. Although they were cold and a little soggy from the syrup, they were still so delicious.
After I finished, I decided to wander around the diner to solve my boredom. I kept walking laps around the building for entertainment. My clothes were now dry from loitering in the warm sunlight for so long.
I then heard the familiar sound of tires screeching. Knowing that Lorenzo was that angry that I didn't show up last night, I had a feeling he would have sped to get here as quick as he possibly could.
I rushed towards the front of the building. My suspicion was correct, Lorenzo was already stomping up the stairs towards the front door of the diner.
"Lorenzo", I shouted. I must have looked even more insane. I was running towards my brother while waving my hands in the air, trying to gain his attention.
His head snapped towards me. If looks could kill, I would be six feet under. However, once he saw that I was alright, his eyes softened. He rushed back down the stairs and pulled me into a bone crushing hug.
"I do need to breathe you know", I awkwardly laughed while I patted his shoulder.
"Shut up", He snapped, " I thought you were dead... again." If possible, he squeezed me even tighter.
I silently let him hug me as long as he wanted to. However, once he let go of me, I took a few dramatic breaths of air. Lorenzo rolled his eyes at my childish antics.
In all seriousness, I need to talk to you and Alessio as soon as possible", I insisted. I look around for a moment, "Speaking of Alessio, where is he?"
Lorenzo huffed," When we were waiting for you to meet us last night, Alessio decided to have a few drinks while we waited. A few turned into a lot. He's in the car, dealing with a hangover."
I nodded. We swiftly got into the car. Alessio was in the passenger seat with the seat reclined and his eyes closed.
"Nice to see you too", I whispered.
Alessio sat up in shock once I shut my door. He peered his eyes open and glanced at me. "Good to see you're still alive".
"Only you would take a nap at a time like this", I chuckled and shook my head. "We need to get back to my apartment."
Lorenzo started the car "Sure thing", He agreed and began driving.
"What's the rush?" Alessio casually asked.
I crossed my arms," We need to talk."
"Why can't we just talk now?"
I rolled my eyes, "Obviously it's important that I can't tell you until we get to my apartment."
"Where's Alexander?"Lorenzo inquired.
I scoffed. Just thinking about that bastard was making my blood boil. "I killed him."
"Seriously?", Alessio asked excitedly.
"Oh yeah. Skinned him alive, Slit his throat, burned what was left on his body, then threw his bones into the river."
Lorenzo gave me a puzzled look.
"I didn't kill him.", I said. Perhaps I did kill him back when I needed to rescue my family.
Before I had realized it, we were now outside my apartment building. "Hurry up", I demanded as I quickly got out of the car.
Once we were all inside, I shut the shabby curtains and moved the couch in front of the door. I had to be sure we weren't going to be ambushed since Nicolas now knew where my apartment was.
"So what's so important", Lorenzo urged.
"Do you remember when we were kids, you and Leo would pretend to be each other to switch chores?", I asked.
Lorenzo smiled proudly, "Of course I remember that, it was my idea. But what does that have to do with anything?"
Alessio jumped up from the sofa, "Fuck... Did they?"
"Yes", I nodded slightly ashamed that I had not realized it sooner.
"I'm still confused," Lorenzo shrugged.
"Nicolas was Alexander. I'm going to assume they swapped places back when the family got kidnapped", Alessio explained.
Lorenzo was squeezing his hands tightly into fists," I fucking told him about me and Leo as kids. I didn't think he would try the same thing."
"He tried to kill me", I blurted.
Alessio and Nicolas both stared at me.
"He did what now?", Lorenzo demanded.
I explained," He took me to Mia, which was an ambush. She had guys outside with her, who wanted me dead. I barely escaped."
Lorenzo was starting to shake with what I am assuming is pure rage.
Alessio chuckled. "I am going to kill him... no i'll torture him until he begs me to end his pathetic life." He now had a murder glint in his eyes.
