Luciana Point of View:
I sat on the sofa in the living room surrounded by my family. I hadn't realized how much time had passed since we all started talking and bonding.
Everyone was in the room except for Val and Martino. I was laughing at a story Alonzo and Marcello were telling when I noticed Vince leaning towards Uncle Gio which I naturally paid attention to.
"His fingers are bad Gio", Vince sighed," Like really bad."
I smirked to myself hoping his fingers would never be the same. He deserved to look at them and think about how his actions affected me.
"Luci, did you know that?", Alessio asked me with a nudge.
"Huh?", I said.
"That Marcello and Alonzo had a dog in the house for two days before anyone noticed?", Alessio explained.
"Oh? That's cool", I replied with a yawn. My exhaustion was beginning to catch up to me.
More of my family members started to tell stories, however I wasn't really paying any attention. Grandfather Alessandro knew my street name and it was really eating at me.
When I knew no one was paying attention to me, I carefully crept out of the living room and up to my bedroom. After the door was shut I bee lined it to my bed. I sighed as my head hit the pillow.
I had no idea that I fell asleep until I heard my window creak as it opened. The room was dark, so I reached under my other pillow and snatched the pocket knife from underneath it.
I held the handle of the knife tightly in my hand as I turned on the lamp. Before I threw the knife at the intruder, I happened to realize who it was.
"Damn you Alessio, you almost got a knife thrown at you", I grumbled.
He physically cringed," Ew turn the light off... You have no decorations... Looks like a caveman lives here."
"Maybe I would have gotten out the red carpet if I knew I would have guests in my room", I huffed as I laid my head back onto the pillow.
"Yeah yeah whatever", He mumbled walking towards my closet," Now get up you have to get ready, it starts in two hours."
I paused," What starts in two hours?"
He snickered," Stop acting like you live under a rock."
He noticed I still had no idea what he was talking about," Just get dressed."
"What am I getting dressed for?"
He smirked," A party."
"A party?", I questioned.
He scoffed,"You have to know what a party is."
"I'm not an idiot", I shook my head.
"Good, now get dressed or we are going to be late", He sternly said.
I got off my bed and went into my closet, knowing I couldn't get out of this if I tried. I quickly put on a pair of black skinny jeans, a crop top, a red flannel, and black high top converse. I made sure to have two knives hidden on me just in case.
As I exited the closet, I gave a dramatic spin, "Better?"
"Much better", He nodded in approval," If you didn't get dressed, I would have dragged you there in what you had on."
I snorted, "Like you would have been able to do that."
"We can argue about who is stronger later", He explained while glancing out the window,"We need to leave while the guards are changing shifts."
I nodded and we both quickly climbed out of my window. Alessio held my hand as we sprinted off of the property. I needed to ask Alessio how he knew the guard shift changes. As we ran, no guards were in sight.
We were both catching our breaths when we finally stopped running. We were in an old parking lot. Rusted cars were scattered about.
"Sorry its a bit of an eye sore", Alessio explained as he tugged a tarp off of a red beat up pick up truck. "The less suspicious we are, the less likely we are to get caught."
"Smart", I agreed.
We arrived at a large house, the music could be heard before we opened any of the doors.
"Wait", Alessio blurted, stopping me from opening the door," Fair Warning, Leo, Lorenzo, or Marcello could be here."
"Go on", I replied.
He sighed," Somebody at your highschool threw this party."
"We just won't get caught", I smirked," And if we happen to notice them, whoever gets caught last gets twenty bucks from the other person?"
"Deal", He agreed and shook my hand.
As we got out of the truck, I could smell alcohol radiated off of people stumbling in the yard. Alessio and I shared a look and we darted straight to the kitchen. He instantly started to make us drinks.
"Aren't you driving?", I asked.
"No, the house isn't super far, we can walk back", He answered, placing a cup in my hand." Careful it's strong."
We taped our cups together in a celebratory way and we each took a drink. Alessio kept staring at me, I'm assuming waiting on a reaction from the strong drink.
"What?", I asked.
"You don't have to finish it if it's too strong"
"It's good", I lifted the cup to my lips and chugged it.
He laughed and did the same. "Come on let's dance a little."
I followed him into the other room where the music was originating from. I watched Alessio dance for a moment before I began to sway with the music. Dancing while I was getting a buzz reminded me of the parties back home.
I soon found myself in the kitchen getting myself an extra strong drink. After tasting it, to make sure it was right, I saw them. My three older brothers were in the other room.
Lorenzo was talking into his phone looking agitated as all hell. Leo was glancing around, obviously looking for someone. I assumed it was me. Then Marcello and I made eye contact.
I gave him an awkward wave as I took a big drink from my cup. He smiled amused at me. He held up five fingers and slowly started to lower them, counting down.
I downed the remaining contents from my cup and threw it to the floor. When I glanced at him again, all three of them were walking towards me. I took off in the other direction, weaving through the crowds of drunk people.
I noticed Alessio was talking to someone, he was having a good time and I didn't want to bother him. I saw a girl leaning against a nearby wall alone. I went up to her.
"I need your help", I sighed, slightly out of breath.
"With?"She smiled.
"Kiss me"
