Kabanata 27 - Unending Drama

KHIANA's POV

What the hell is he doing here?

As I saw Ryker and River approach Tiffany's apartment, my heart was pounding like crazy. Anong ginagawa nila rito? Bakit sila nandito? Ano pang kailangan nila? Ryker walked towards me and hugged me tightly. I was confused, mad, and hurt at the same time. Why is he hugging me after he cheated on me?

"Stay away from me!" I pushed him away. "Umalis ka na rito!"

"Khiana, please,"

"Please, what? Stay away from me!" sigaw ko. Parang kahit anong oras ay bibigay na ang puso ko. "Ayoko na! Sumama ka na kay Hillary!"

"No, baby! I don't know what Hillary told you but listen to me first," he said, almost begging.

Kinuha ko ang cellphone ko at pinakita sa kanya ang sinend ni Hillary. Hindi ko namalayan na tumulo na pala ang luha ko habang pinapakita ko sa kanya ang mga pictures. "Tignan mo 'yan! You're cheating!"

"Ehem..." Biglang tumikhim si River.

Napalingon ako sa kanya. Kasalukuyan siyang nakasandal sa pader at nakahalukipkip. "What?" I asked, angrily.

"If you want to listen to him I'm the one who will explain to you. Hillary has a loose screw in her head. She's an obsessed and manipulative bitch. Alam mo ba na bago kami pumunta rito ay may sinabi siya kay Ryker. He told him that you left Ryker for a man," River said. 

"What the fuck?" naibulalas ko dahil sa gulat.

"She even told me you left a note and that note said that you can't stand me anymore and you left with another man. That other man was Mike, one of your officemate," Ryker said and showed me a photo of the letter. "

"That bitch is crazy!" I screamed in anger. Ang lakas naman ng loob niya para gumawa ng kwento. Hinding-hindi ko siya patatawarin. I swear! "That's not true..."

"Obviously..." River murmured.

"Wala akong ka-officemate na ang pangalan ay Mike," paliwanag ko. Fuck! Why is that bitch such a liar!

"Yeah, Eliz said that."

"Eliz? You called her?" tanong ko kay River.

"Yeah," sagot niya. Nakita ko na nilagay niya ang kamay niya at swabeng inayos ang tayo. "It has a huge possibility na ginagago lang kayong dalawa ni Hillary. She's a liar anyway. Gusto niya lang kayo sirain ni Ryker."

Napatingin ako kay Ryker na tahimik lang na nakikinig ngayon. He took a step towards me. Then he held my hands. "Please, let's fix our relationship, baby. I love you and I need you."

"Ryker..." I called his name.

"Why did you leave him, anyway?" biglang singit na tanong ni River.

Nang tumingin ako kay Ryker ay tumingin din siya sa aki. I can see in his eyes that he's asking the same question. "I-I was so scared. . . From the way he acted when I confronted him and when I saw him beating the shit out of the man in the club. I was scared..."

"Baby..."

"I think I need time to think and I need space," I said honestly.

"Yeah, he really have a problem in his attitude and—"

"River!" sigaw ni Ryker.

"Wait, did I lie?" kunot-noong tanong ni River.

I saw how Ryker's eyes rolled. Then, looked at me. Hinawakan niya nang mahigpit ang mga kamay ko.

"I am not going to do that anymore. I will do better. Just please, come back to me." he said to me. I can see in his eyes that he's pleading. "Khiana, I love you."
