"Shtop," begged the girl strapped to the cooking fire, speaking with difficulty around the chocolate chip package in her mouth. "Pweash."
Shinobu watched her, unfazed. She spoke coolly. "Naganohara Ryuunosuke needs cookies. He needs them by five o'clock. He is a kind man. If I must bake my own relatives to make his cookies in time, I will."
There was a silence. The fire crackled merrily. "Why not shtorebought?" the girl asked finally.
Shinobu stopped then, going through every little piece of her thought process that had lead to her baking Miyuki over the fire. "Oh my Archons, I'm so sorry. Yuyu, I... I'm so sorry. I'll buy you cookies later to make up for it, I promise, okay??"
She dashed off without untying her sister. Fortunately, a kind traveller passing by introduced themselves as Aether helped her out and apologized for Shinobu's erratic behaviour. "She's under a lot of stress lately," he explained. "She just joined a gang, you see."
