I waited almost an hour and still nothing. I was about to give up when I heard footsteps behind me. A feeling of panic welled up in me. I was about to jump up to protect myself when I heard a voice say, "Oh shit!" Robin's voice! I got excited and tingly inside. I heard his footsteps slowly approach me, I waited for the perfect moment to strike, like a viper waiting for its prey. He bent down next to me and slowly turned me over. As I felt myself being turned right side up, I whipped my knife out and pointed it at his throat. He looked at me and another smirk appeared on his face, "Well, what are you planning on doing now?" He asked. I didn't answer as I slowly stood and started backing him against a tree. When his back hit the tree I started to speak, "Give me your knife." He handed it to me and I stuck it into my belt. "What is you plan now? Are you going to have me waltz with you? Wouldn't simply asking me have been a better way to go about it?" he asked me, smirking again. "If I were you I wouldn't be smart mouthing it unless you were on the other side of the knife." I said. "All right, will you just tell me what you want?" he said. "Yes, I will." I told him. "All I want is for you to help me." "With what? he asked. I felt my patience running thin. I wanted to grab him and shake him, but instead I grabbed the rope I had brought with me and tied him to the tree. I began to walk away. "Wait!" I heard him call after me. I turned around and looked at him. "This is really hurting you made the bons to tight!" "Did I? Maby I did it on purpose." I smirked at him. He groaned in pain and I decided he was ready to listen. "I will set you free if you do one thing for me." "What? I'm not going to blindly agree to help you with something. It's probably unimportant anyway, since you are a girl." Now he had done it, I was so ticked off that I finally exploded. I wasn't going to sit here and let him make fun of me. "Do you think that I would drag myself to the De Noir clan's dungeon house, escape from jail, risk my neck jumping off a cliff, have the guts to come back here and risk being killed by another De Noir that might find me first instead of you, and set up this whole trap, tie you to a tree and go on a game of ring around the rosy trying to get you to help me with something useless? How dumb do you think I am? Do just think I don't have my priorities straight? Well listen buster, I am 2 years younger than you and I am more mature than you are! Now, all I want is for you to promise you will listen. Say I promise. SAY IT!!!" "I promise. All right you beat me now let me out before my hands fall off." "Men are SUCH babies!" I muttered under my breath as I worked at the bonds. Soon he was free. I tossed him back his knife, and he sat down on a fallen tree. "I'm listening." He said impatiently. So I began my tale.

Once long ago, many thousands of years ago an evil man decided he wanted power. like any power-hungry man he was desperate, so desperate that he decided to mess around with a kind of dark power that would scare even the bravest men out of their wits by just hearing the name alone. He made a deal with it, he would serve it for the rest of his life and in return the power would give him an amulet. Not only would it be beautiful, but powerful. More powerful than the moon pearls. The man began to use it, chaos erupted everywhere, men killed, natural disasters, unexplainable phenomenon's. Until one day the man died, he passed it on to one of his sons. He intended to use it for good, but since this boy was not the original owner the amulet began to have a mind of its own. It no longer was possessed, it possessed you. Soon the son no longer possessed the amulet, it possessed him. He began to do all the things his father did, only worse. That was how it went for generations, until one man hid it 500 years ago to the day. I was chosen to find it and destroy it once and for all. I have until the last chime of the last stroke of midnight tonight to get rid of it or it will find its own master. It will pick the evilest human within a hundred-mile radius of here. That is why I must get to it first.

"Well," Robin said. "Now I know why my father wants it so bad." "And why I can't let him have it!" I said. "By." Robin said as he stood up to go. "Wait!" I cried, "Robin please! I can't do this without you!" "I promised I would listen to you, and I have." He answered. "You have to help me!" I yelled. He whipped around and grabbed me. His eyes full of anger, "You are the enemy in my father's eyes! Right now I ought to kill you!" "Kill me and not only will your father die but the entire world! I know how to stop it but we only have until midnight! Tonight!" I told him with urgency in my voice. "I'm still listening." He answered as he followed me into the forest.
