We walked on in silence, each in our own thoughts. Once in a while he would break the silence telling me to turn or how much longer it would take. I checked my watch again, 10:55. "Robin are we almost there?" "Yah, it's not far now only through the clump of trees." He informed me. "What trees? They look like toothpicks!" I laughed. "Oh wait a second, I forgot." He said as he doubled back. I followed him back into the woods quite a ways east of the direction we were going. I saw him pull something out of his pocket, he fingered it gently and snagged it on a tree. As he began to turn away I caught a glimpse of it, it was a piece of my dress. The one I had been wearing on the day I had gotten captured. I suddenly felt like I shouldn't let him find me watching, so I quickly slipped back through the trees. I got back to the spot where he had left me just before he did. "What was that?" I asked him, pretending to be innocent. "False trail." he answered as we began walking again. "Why did you have a piece of my dress saved in your pocket?" I asked sweetly. I saw his shadowy figure turn and look at me but he didn't answer. I smiled in triumph. I took a deep breath and said, "Robin," I began "I don't think you should come into the tree with me." "Why?" he asked, quite bewildered. "because there is dark magic at play in there and I don't think you are going to be able to resist it." I answered him. "Oh and you can." He snapped. "Yes!" I snapped back, "I have a potion!" "Well lucky you! Maybe you just wanted the amulet for yourself!" he yelled. I suddenly realized we were close to the amulet. The magic was working on both of us. It was basically shopping for a new master. I had to stop it from embedding in either me or Robin. I calmed myself down and answered, "No Robin, I don't want it for me, I want to destroy it to save others. I do trust you, I trust you very much, it's the magic I don't trust. I don't know if it will make us do something regrettable, but if you are willing to take the risk I am too. I just need you to promise no matter how tempted you are, you won't touch it. And you will be tempted." My speech seemed to calm him down quite a bit. "Ok. Sorry, I don't know what came over me!" he said sounding sheepish. "its fine!" I said smiling. "Now let's go get that amulet!" I said, taking the potion out and drinking it. It tasted as bad as it looked and smelled. I quickly swallowed it and gagged. "Oh that was disgusting!" I cried. "You ready?" I asked Robin. No answer. "Robin?" still no answer. "ROBIN!!!" I called, "This isn't funny! Where are you?" I heard a small, muffled sound behind a tree near where he had been standing. I started towards it slowly. Just then a large shape stepped out from behind the tree, the Cour De Noir! "Where's Robin?" I called to him. "does it really matter?" he asked. "He had us trailing right behind you the whole time. Looks like you put your trust in the wrong man, now you are captured again." "This was Robins doing?" I asked quietly. "Yes, all his doing. Did you actually think he liked you?" anger filled me, and regret tugged at my heart. Just then the Cour De Noir grabbed my wrist, "Where is the amulet." He asked and started dragging me towards the clearing where Robin had said was the tree.
