I'm going to kill her.

No, I'll kill what she loves the most.

I squeezed the glass cup in my hand. I flinched as the shards pierced my skin. I looked around anxiously for any adult that saw me. Thankfully everyone was giving their condolences to the man who called himself my grandfather only when it was convenient. I ran away to the washroom and quickly removed the glass shards from my hand. The bleeding stopped, and my wounds healed in the blink of an eye.

"Victor?"

Se Jun, my older brother, came inside the washroom. Se Jun was the vivid copy of our deceased mother. Handsome with wavy white-blonde hair, hazel brown eyes, and a light skin tone. He got our father's tall genes, so he looked a year older than his age. His smile and voice were soothing. My brother is a charming, sweet boy, unlike me. I'm short for my age and have curly raven-black hair; my eyes are grey. My skin tone is pale, and people assume I'm sick. I'm standoffish and wear glasses. From a glance, Se Jun was male, but because of my short height, people always assumed I was a girl. Se Jun, to others, is a handsome young boy, but I'm a feminine boy to them.

"Are you okay?" Se Jun asked.

"I accidentally cut my hand," I showed Se Jun, my right hand.

Se Jun examined my hand. All traces of the wounds were gone.

"Did anyone see you get hurt?" Se Jun asked with a concerned tone.

"No one," I smiled softly.

"Are you sure?" Se Jun asked again.

"I'm sure of it, brother, if it worries you, I'll cut my palm and bandage it," I joked.

"Don't be ridiculous I don't want you to get hurt," Se Jun smiled.

"Half - Luciferis heal quickly, I'm okay," I forced a smile.

"Don't mention Luciferis people here don't know about their existence, you're human in the presence of ignorant humans," Se Jun reminded me just like our parents did.

My smile faded. I'm human, I'm human, I'm human... am I human?

"Let's go they will bury Mom and Dad in a few minutes," Se Jun informed me.

"Are you okay, Se Jun?" I asked, "You don't seem sad...."

Se Jun smiled brightly. He held onto my shoulders and kissed my forehead.

"Mom and Dad deserve the best even after their passing. I'm the oldest, so now it's my duty to look after you three," Se Jun smiled. "I'm okay!"

Liar.

Se Jun let go of me and kept on his forced smile. He went to the washroom first. I closed my fist and sat down on a bench.

"Poor kids, what will they do without their parents," They whispered in a pitiful tone.

"I heard their grandparents will only take in Se Jun, Sofia, and Eun-Hye but not Victor,"

"How cruel! He looks like such a sweet boy,"

"Didn't you hear? He's adopted! I can't believe they would disgrace the blue blood and take in an orphan," A woman mocked me.

Se Jun sat down next to me, carrying our Eun-Hye, our youngest sibling, and holding Sofia's hand, the middle child. He set both girls down. Sofi held Eun-Hye's hand. I looked away, not being able to handle the scene. Sofi's black curls covered her sad pale face, while Eun-Hye looked around, confused, her brown hair held back with a butterfly hair clip. They were both too young to look like our parents but were always compared to our father.

I thought differently, to me they didn't look like our parents Sofi is my Snow White with her black curls, pale skin, and sweet smile. Eun-Hye reminded me of a singer with her wavy blonde hair and peachy skin tone.

"Don't listen to them, you will always be our parents' son," Se Jun whispered.

I looked up, and Se Jun was standing in front of me. I heard them but I couldn't care less about what those hypocrites thought of me. They didn't matter to me... my mother and father did.

"Okay, brother," I replied and nodded. Se Jun smiled with my reassurance.

He left and talked to our aunt. I stared at their coffins, held in my tears, don't cry, don't cry, don't show your weakness. Don't let them win. I took out the golden bracelet and looked inside, Yuki, Delaney Yuki, the woman that took my parents away, her last name is Yuki.

"I swear on my name I'll find Delaney Yuki and take her most precious possession," I whispered.

I vow to take Ms. Yuki's most precious possession, her daughter. Mikaela Yuki. She took away my parents, I'll take away her daughter. I kissed Eun-Hye and Sofia's forehead before heading outside for fresh air. I looked up watching the blue sky and the white clouds. I closed my eyes and let the wind gently touch my face.

I walked back to the church ready for the burial. I walked with my siblings and saw how they lowered my parent's coffins after we placed the white roses on top. I sat down and watched the adults ready to plan our future.

"That boy needs to go to his home, he's not my blood!" My grandpa protested.

I'm not wanted, no matter where I go. It will always be the same. Why did you leave me? I was finally happy and you two left me. I took out my phone and began to search for Ms. Yuki. I looked at photos taken of her. In one of them, she was leaving Eamonn Academy, elementary division. Her daughter was with her, covered from head to toe. I searched for the school. Of course, everything was perfect with that school, with no flaws.

"That boy is not staying with us," said my grandpa.

I stood up and walked up to my grandpa.

"Sir?"

"What do you want, boy?" He asked.

"I want to go to Eamonn Preparatory," I said raising my phone.

My grandma looked down at my phone.

"But Victor this is in Wisconsin, you'll be so far away," said my grandma with a concerned tone. I knew why she was acting concerned. To keep appearances of course. A kind grandmother who cares for the dirty orphan the Courriers picked up from the street.

My grandfather immediately agreed to send me to Wisconsin, he had a daughter the same age as my mother who lived there. He arranged for my sisters and me to live with her until I was old enough to leave but Se Jun was not coming along. Protesting didn't help, let alone crying. Se Jun was going to a boarding school in Spain, to study and take cover the business our parents left behind.
