Mikaela's Perspective
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2037.
Afternoon.
3:10 PM
The strong smell of roses woke me up; I stretched to wake myself up fully and turned off my alarm. I left my bed to check my short to-do list.

I grabbed my phone from the nightstand; I sleepily checked the time. My eyes widened. It was 3:10 in the afternoon... I looked up at my schedule and noticed a sticky note on my to-do list.
"Do not panic," I read, "Mika,"
I removed the sticky note with relief. I was cautious enough to put a self-reminder. I sighed; a little annoyed, my whole schedule was messed up. I was having lunch for breakfast, and everything in my afternoon schedule was free time.
"Oh well," I sighed.
I went to my washroom to clean myself up. I headed downstairs and stared at the notification bar. Under my sister's text was another one from him.
"Sweet dreams, mon ange, see you tomorrow at school," I read, "Victor..."
I rolled my eyes. His pettiness wore off after a good rest. His first message only had two words, "Ok. Good." written. I sighed as I opened the text log and re-read his dumb second message. There is not a single moment he doesn't flirt with me. That punch wasn't enough to keep him away.
"For heaven's sake, I hate that ridiculous nickname," I mumbled and headed to the kitchen.
"Mika, sweetie,"
I gripped my pajama pants. I didn't want to see my mother right now. My earlier outburst had nothing to do with her and was uncalled for. Both ignoring her and confronting her would lead to the same result. I took a deep breath and exhaled. I turned to face my mother and bowed.
"I'm sorry, mother," I apologized.
My mother leaned to the side and lifted my face. She gave me a soft kiss on the forehead and smiled.
"Oh no, my baby, it's okay," She giggled.
My vision blurred and tears began to fall.
"I'm sorry, Mama!" I sobbed and hugged her tightly.
She returned the embrace and told me how much she loved me during our time hugging each other.
"Oh, don't cry, my little raven, everything is okay, I promise we're not angry with you," said my mother, "Come on, baby, let's go to the kitchen,"
I nodded and let go of my mother first. She gave a quick peck on the forehead and wrapped her arm around mine. We walked to the breakfast nook and took our assigned seats.
"Good afternoon, madam, young master," Sebastian greeted.
"Good afternoon," I replied.
"Oh, you're both so formal!" My mother chuckled, "Afternoon, Sebby!"
