Victor's Perspective

Photography Class.

10:30 AM

I raised my head as my photography teacher clapped loudly to get everyone's attention.

"Before class ends, I want to do one more activity! Your classmates are also your partners! Your friends! And we should all get along to make this semester extremely enjoyable,"

My head fell back on my desk.

"So please turn to your desk mate and tell them a little bit about yourself and why you chose this class! Go on, I'll be coming around to check that everyone participated," He said with a cheery smile.

I groaned and sat up. How can adults have so much energy? I turned to my desk mates. Two boys and one girl.

"Well! Let's get this torture over with! I'm Victor Courrier, a Junior student and I chose this class randomly!" I began, "I'm new to Eamonn and it's a pleasure to meet you all,"

"I'm Elias Ruiz, Junior," He said, "Choose this class because it was the first in the 'fine arts' category,"

"Hi, I'm Veronica Valdez, and I'm a sophomore,"

"Um, I'm Peter Hayes, a sophomore too," Peter spoke lastly in a shy tone.

"Just sophomores and juniors in this table. But you two forgot to tell us why you chose this class!" I smiled, "Go on! We're all ears!"

"Oh um, I just thought it would be fun, I'm interested in photography," Veronica chuckled with a soft smile.

"That's great! Our group will do great with some talent!" I smiled, "What about you Hayes?"

"Um... I also chose it randomly..." He replied.

"So, we're all going to suck except her?" said Elias as he chuckled. Peter looked down embarrassed about his response.

"Let's not be so pessimistic. We'll do just fine," I replied, "We're getting along just fine, no? We're even making jokes!" I spoke.

"Yeah, we are," Elias shrugged.

"Should we talk about our hobbies?" I asked, "Anyone want to share?"

They all looked at each other and Elias shrugged. I chuckled and smiled. I'm about to break a computer if I have to continue being the designated icebreaker!

"I like playing video games," I shrugged, "Pretty basic expected answer but I'm not bad at them,"

"Cool, what games? Maybe we can team up together," said Elias.

Fuck...

"Call of Duty...?" I quickly replied.

"Hm, that's basic, any other?"

"Maybe but it doesn't take away its popularity," I grinned.

"Yeah," Elias shrugged.

"Veronica, Hayes, do you two like video games?" I asked.

"Oh, I do, but I don't play them often," Veronica replied,

"What about you Peter?"

"No, they're not my interest," He shook his head.

"What do you like?"

"Reading" Peter replied.

"What genre? Romance, horror, science fiction? Dystopian books are good," I continued.

"Yeah, dystopian books are good," Peter agreed.

"Good choice," I pointed, I switched my attention to Veronica, "What about you? What do you like to do?"
