Victor's Perspective
Tuesday, August 18th, 2037.
Early Morning.
6:15 AM
I combed my hair to the side, dividing the bangs. I grabbed a silver hair clip since part of my hair had decided to reject my human side and act on its own, curling up. I got a notification from my school, informing me that my new blazer was ready. I smiled relieved, my old ones made me look terrible, but again it was my fault for ordering them two sizes up.
"Sofi, Eun-Hye?" I called.
"Ready!"
Eun-Hye left her room, all ready to go.
"You look different," she said, tilting her head to the right.
"I don't have my blazer on,"
"Why not? It's part of the uniform,"
"The other one was too big" I shrugged, "Made me look scrawny and ugly,"
"And you hate looking ugly! Especially around girls!" Eun-Hye grinned.
"Oh, shut up, that's not true,"
"It sort of is," Sofi spoke.
"Oh, be quiet both of you," I scoffed and crossed my arms, "I don't care about them. I used to be a model, alright? It's natural for me to be this pretty,"
"That was years ago," Sofi pointed out.
"The fact remains," I shrugged, "I don't care about any girl,"
"Whatever! Having you admit it is a waste of time!" Eun-Hye smiled.
"Come on we'll be late, and I have to pick up a new blazer,"
We walked out and to the train station. I walked down the hallways, and a few students stared at me. I sighed, not having my blazer made me stick out like a sore thumb. The judgy looks and whispers made it worse, but some compliments and stares did make it worth the hassle. I stopped behind some students at the bookstore, picking up accessories or books for the school year.
"Good morning," I spoke politely, "I came for my new blazer,"
The bookstore manager turned around with a frustrated groan.
"You kids break things so easily... oh I'm sorry love, I thought you were one of our regulars," She quickly switched her mood.
"It's fine, don't worry" I said and shook my head.
"What's your name?"
"Courrier, Victor,"
"Let me get your blazer," She smiled.
I nodded.
"Are you new to Eamonn?"
"I am,"
"Have you applied to any club?"
"No, not yet,"
"You should try the performing arts club! Eamonn needs more male actors," She encouraged, "Your face will be perfect for our performances,"
"Oh, I haven't thought about it... I'll look into it," I smiled.
"You'd get a lot of the leads, consider it. Here you go,"
She handed me my new blazer.
"Have a good day,"
"Thank you,"
I walked to a bench and placed my blazer on, it fit perfectly, the sleeves weren't oversized anymore, and it reached down my waist. There was enough airflow, and it wasn't restricting either. I went to the washroom to check how it looked on me. I proudly fixed my blazer, making sure it didn't have any creases. It improved my look, I didn't look scrawny and sloppy (it didn't affect my image, but it did bother me).
