Chapter 2 - Ideal Type

"Finally, natahimik rin ang buhay ko." I whispered habang papaupo ako sa vacant seat ng cafe na pinuntahan ko. Hindi kasi talaga makapaniwala si Sally na I'm willing to give up my top model status para lang bumalik sa archery at makilala si Yuki Ishikawa ng Men's Volleyball Team.

I know that this a very spontaneous decision, pero parang hindi ako nakakaramdam ng kung ano mang panghihinayang sa katawan. Mukhang sobrang burnout na ako lately sa work kaya ganito na ako ngayon.

Luminga-linga ako sa paligid at inayos ang face mask na suot ko to make sure na walang makakakilala sa akin. Nilabas ko na ang laptop at portable wifi sa bag pack na dala ko ko.

"Alright. This kind of segment is really popular these days. This is called anwering questions from fans. We handpicked 2 questions and we hope that you can answer it as honestly as you can. Are you ready?"

Tumango lang siya ulit. Wow, taas ng energy grabe.

"First question from sine_sensu from Twitter. Hello, Yuki. I just want to ask who's your closest friend from your team?"

Agad na sumagot si Yuki. "I consider all of them as my closest friends since we're in one team. But lately, I've been talking to Ran Takahashi since he's my assigned roommate."

The host had a big smile on his face upon hearing the name Ran Takahashi and ask quick questions about him to Yuki. Pero since hindi ako interested, I skipped until makapunta ako sa next question.

"Moving on to the last question from a lucky fan. This is from lulublackprince from Twitter as well. Ishikawa-san, what is your ideal type of girl?" Tanong ng host na tila ba nagpi-pigil matawa.

"So Yuki, do you mind telling us your ideal type of girl? A lot of female fans would be happy to hear it!"

Yuki looked that he was caught off guard by the fan's question. Napakagat labi siya bigla at parang nagpipigil matawa.

Grabe, pakadamot naman ng taong 'to. Kahit isang genuine na ngiti lang diyan pwede na akong hindi kumain ng dinner mamaya. Kimmi! Haha

Huminga ng malalim si Yuki who really looks that he's trying to compose himself. Mga ilang segundo, sumagot na ito.

"To be quite honest, I don't really have a specific type. As long as she doesn't make me uncomfortable, I guess I'll be fine in getting to know her more."

I was really shocked. I didn't expect that Sally would do this for me samantalang ayaw niya pumaya nung una. Muntik ko pang mabitawan ang phone ko.

I snapped out of my messy thoughts when Mr. Tansinco spoked again.

"Ms. Suarez, are you there?" Tanong niya.

Hinawakan ko amg dibdib ko at huminga ng malalim bago sumagot.

"Yes, Mr. Tansinco. I've heard you the first time." Kinakabahang sagot ko.

He laugh a little before he spoke to me about the offer. He wants me to come to his office to discuss more about it and I gladly said yes. Parang sasabog na iyong dibdib ko sa sobrang excited.

"I'll see you tomorrow at 10am, Ms. Suarez. Salamat at finally, you answered to our multiple request about joining the team." He said.

Masaya kong binaba ang phone at nagmadali ng umuwi. Pagdating ko sa condo, I immediately hugged Sally and thanked her for doing this for me.
