Rays of sun cascaded throughout the Valkyries' kitchen window. As Brunhilde the eldest of the thirteen Valkyries looked out at the clear blue sky, her salmiak pies baking in the oven, a stern look of contemplation set upon her.

Suddenly Goll burst through the kitchen doors. Brunhilde turned around a bit surprised by the youngers not so strange actions.

Goll tried to catch her breath as her small hands found their way to her knees.

"What troubles you Goll?" Brunhilde didn't move. 'Oh Goll when will you grow up...' Crossing her arms she waited patiently for her sister to speak, brushing off her panicked demeanor. This was nothing new after all.

"Ha...Hum..." The younger girl slowly looked up, sweat covered her face. "I-its't's Lord Thor... He...H-He said i-i-its time..."

Not sure of what her sister meant she looked on in bewilderment until the sudden realization overtook her.

"It can't be!" Brunhuilde burst through the door behind Goll at full speed running up the curved stone stairs to her room throwing the bedroom door open.

The room was neat and tidy...

Was.

Brunhilde ran to her device sitting neatly upon her desk in the middle of her room next to the window. With both arms she carelessly removed every book and paper document she had written with the abrasive swipes of her arms. Quickly turning to the device in the middle of the desk, with the touch of a few buttons on the touch screen it turned on and a large hologram computer monitor came up.

Brunhilde started to type as fast as she possibly could. Goll bursting through the door in more panic starts to scream, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Literal tears streaming down her young face as she clung to her sister. "Your going to just let Lord Thor waiting downstairs?! He's going to kill you! He's going to kill you for insubordination!!!"

"Quiet Goll!" Her voice loud, firm with disbelief. How could she possibly forget what day it is.

Soon a ding came from the scream and Goll's weepy eyes looked from her sister to the monitor.

Brunhilde's lips started to weave in and out and a huge smile appeared on her face, her hair flying behind her as if some powerful wind had blown it up and her eyes lit up with excitement and determination.

"Goll!" Quickly she turned and Goll lost her grip. "What are you thinking letting Lord Thor wait all alone downstairs... We must hurry..."

"Huh?" blinking a few times she questioned her sister in utter shock. "When did you start to care about the Gods-"

"I don't!" A cold and sly smile made its way to her lips, with a swift turn Brunhilde flashed an excited and elated smile, Goll jumped in surprise. "Goll! This is going to be the day we get reinforcement with our mission to save humanity!" Her first clenching, her excitement and determination ready to burst. Her fighting spirit was ready. Her Valkyrie Spirit was ready.

"Today is the day that Astrior finally gets her God damn ass back up here!"

"Ahh! Brunhilde your mouth!"

"Come Goll!" Turning her back on her sister she did her best to contain her overwhelming excitement. The moment her back turned she was calm as if she had never been pumped up just a moment ago. Only a smile of satisfaction lay upon her face...

"It's weird... seeing you rush to a God's aid... is there any reason...?" Goll trailed off, her sisters' strange words of leaving Thor downstairs unattended leaving a strange taste in her mouth.

Brunhilde paused, and between the two sisters time seemed to stop. Brunhilde finally smiled. "Hm... It's not that I want to get to Thor... but merely I want to use him...To get to the Goddess we lost long ago..."

Meanwhile downstairs Thor stood calmly in the Valkyrie's living room.

The Thunder God took know notice of any of the things around him, he just stood there. Instead of his normal board expression however... something else was felt upon the Thunder God... a different emotion that he hadn't felt in a long time... not ever sense...

Just then Brunhilde slammed open the living room door. Thor hardly took notice of her, just giving her a glance once she got within reach.

Brunhilde and Goll soon descended to Midgard. AKA Earth.

"Where in Midgard are we Brunhilde?" Goll looked around at their rounding. They had come down in the middle of a forest far from any of the humans. "Why send us all the way out to the middle of a forest, shouldn't we have been descended into her house or something?"

"Oh sweet Goll... Then that would have caused to much commotion. A mere scream and every human would come flocking... After all, that is the reason why Thor sent us and stayed behind... He too would have caused panic. After all what would have happened if worst came to and we had to ascend... the humans would have been panicked to see that big oaf kidnaping her..."

"O-oh..."

"..."

"Where kidnapping her!?"

"Ha.... No Goll... that's why we're here... Any of the other Gods would have just taken her and called it a day. Thor had enough common sense to have us go in his stead... After all, the last time her descended her nearly caused the extinction of an entire continent..."

"I'm surprised Lord Thor would do that...?" Goll blinked, I never thought he'd-"

"Oh no-He wanted to come..." Brunhilde cut her sister off, disbelief in her tone, "Apparently Brother Hercules had intervened last minute and suggested we go instead... the Norse Pantheon was highly against it saying they wanted to retrieve her with the strongest of their Gods as a welcome back initiation... However, Brother Hercules does have his ways..." The Valkyrie sighed.

The eldest Valkyrie clenched her hands in to fist. Her determination back at full force as she spun around. "Now! Come Goll! It is time to retrieve our secret weapon!!"

"Se-Se-Se-Secret weapon? W-what do you mean Hildie?"

"Astrior is a strong Goddess... although she isn't a high ranking one, she does hold some say amongst the Gods!" Brunhilde crossed her arms and looked at her sister with a sly smile, as if remembering something from long in the past. "As I recall... she had quite the fight with a few Gods over the wellbeing of mankind..."

"W-what?" The young girls once frightened eyes became stunned. "But how? Why?"

"Unlike the other Gods Astrior feels for mankind. She watched them and felt their pain, there suffering... there happiness... She always voted for mankind's survival despite what Odin said..."

Taking it all in Goll's eyes widen in realization. "Wait a minute! Now hold on Brunhilde!! You don't actually mean to say that the God she got into an argument with was-"

"That's right..." Brunhilde spoke nonchalantly as she picked up where Goll trailed off. "One of those very Gods was Odin himself..."

"AHHHHH!!!" Hands to her head the young girl cried out. "So, she ticked off Lord Odin!!!??"

"Not exactly..." turning her back to her sister she looked to the ground in sadness. 'If I had only stopped that fucking friendship from the start none of this bullshit would have happened...' her fist clenched tighter almost causing her to bleed. 'Hopefully I can keep them away from each other...'

With that Brunhilde called for Goll to follow her as the two headed off.
