Finally finished with all the sprits that consumed hours of his time, the red flame orb finally came out of his mouth and went into the lantern levitating in the air beside Yūrei, his mask is also back to covering his whole face. He then grabbed its handle and held it. Even though it has been hours ever since Shinobu slept, she still hasn't woken up.
"As expected, once she slept here she'll never wake up not until she gets out of this place." Yūrei thought as he face Shinobu sleeping on his arms covered with his hair as they head back to the side they came from standing on the same boat.
Just as they near the side they came from, Shinobu moved turning a little to her side and rubbed her head on Yūrei's kimono. This made him sigh and his hair finally moved to his side uncovering Shinobu who is still peacefully asleep on his arms.
"One hundred years..." Yūrei thought as he step out of the boat. "Let's hope it has been a hundred years since I've been in this place so that I could get you out of here immediately."
He walked away from the riverside again as he walk around the place, like he always does. For years this is all he did, if not dealing with the spirits on the other side, he would be walking on the side he stays at. The only time he ever sat down was when he accompanied Shinobu to rest and let her sleep beside him.
Sakae and Sakaki came out of their room looking neat and formal. Sakaki with his hair neatly tied in a ponytail with him wearing a silver colored kimono and a white sash belt, a dangling ruby earring hanging from his left ear, his cat-like dark-pink eyes looking ahead. Sakae now has his hair combed and fixed not looking like his usual bed hair anymore, he's now wearing a white kimono and a silver sash belt, a dangling ruby earring hanging from his right ear, his cat-like yellow-green eyes looking ahead.
The others also dressed properly and are no longer in their sleeping dresses after the three girls ordered them to fix their selves for something important. They're now wearing their usual clothes which are composed of a white kimono cuffed in red by the sleeves with a red crest on their backs which is a half fox head and half dog head made as one head, and black hakama pants. They formed two lines and followed the three girls, one line led by Kagaya and the other line led by Amane.
As they walk ahead, they all glanced at Kanae who kept her head down. The light that once graced her eyes now gone as they became empty, even the smile she's always seen with disappeared. Them being concerned about Kanae too much made them not realize they're taking the way to the silver doors, the Death River's doors. They only noticed when they faced the stairs leading down there. For the whole night until this morning, they were told by the three not to sleep and wait until the 'right time' comes.
Reaching the end of the stairs, they saw Sakae there facing them looking proper with another man beside him who has a blank and cold expression on his face. If only everyone of them feels good, the two would've complimented each other with the way they dressed. But no, not a word came out of their mouths.
"Now formation. Kagaya's line to the right side, Amane's line to the left side." Sakae said as they all went to their respective sides. This left Sakae and Sakaki stand to on the center in front of both lines.
Sakaki then took out a pocket watch from his sash belt and looked at it. The short hand already pointing at three and the long hand ticking towards the twelve. "One minute." He said.
Sakae replied with a nod. Staring at his watch, Sakaki waited. And after a minute, the long hand hit twelve, three o' clock in the morning. He instantly closed it and put it back in his sash. The silver doors in front of them started to open with a creaking sound, they immediately felt the hot air coming from inside that made them feel as if their skin's gonna be put on fire. Sakae and Sakaki bowed forward as the rest followed, the girls going down the ground kneeling as they bow with their heads on the back of their palms, making only the three of them bow so low like that. After a while, the hot air disappeared as they heard the doors close.
