"I don't wanna be Harley Quinn and Joker. It's basic." I frowned toward Colby. The two of us were looking for Halloween costumes.

He sighed as he started looking around. I didn't want to dress up as anything that's been done a lot.

I could hear Colby start giggling at something so I went over towards him. He was looking at grandma and grandpa costumes.

"Is that what you wanna be?" I ask curiously. He shook his head as he looked. "I just think it's funny." He speaks.

We looked around longer and eventually found something to wear. Two vampires. It was going to be simple and easy.

I figured either Kat or Paige could help us with the makeup and blood, which I want to use some.

I was really excited to dress up with him knowing they're planning to throw a party.

I know I was excited for it cause we haven't thrown one in forever.

"Oh, I have a meeting with Kurtis tomorrow. I think we were gonna try to get another single or album out." I explained to him.

I have enough songs to have an EP but I don't have enough for an album.

I do want to put all my songs together on an album. "You're leading towards making an album, right?" He asked making sure.

"I don't have enough songs for a full album but I hope for an EP." I tell him. We were currently sitting in his back yard.

It was pretty chilly but it wasn't too bad. He had his fire pit on so it felt nice.

"What's an EP again?" I laugh a little at him. "EP means Extended Play. It has too many songs to be a single and not enough to be an album."

He sat there for a moment. "I hope you do get to have the EP then." I nodded while looking at the fire.

"Vanny, what's wrong? You look like something's on your mind." I sighed as I brought my knees to my chest.

"I don't know, it's just if Grant and Paige go on tour soon, I'm gonna miss them. I wish I could join them." I frown.

Colby looked at me for a moment. "I think I know the deeper meaning." I furrow my eyebrows towards him.

"You're comparing yourself to them, aren't you?" Colby knows me so well, but he's not wrong.

I'm trying not to compare my success to theirs, but I can't help it.

They were in Los Angeles earlier so of course they would have more stuff out.

Of course they could possibly go on tour without me. They were my first friends out here so if they did leave, I would miss them.

I mean, at least I have Colby, Sam, and Kat. "I know I shouldn't but I can't help it." I frowned towards him.

"I'm just going to miss them both. They were my first friends out here." I tell him. He nods his head like he understands.

"And if they go on tour together, you can always come over and hang out with me." He suggested.

"Well I would hope so since we're dating." I tease him. He just shakes his head and laughs.

We sat outside by the fire pit for awhile, talking and hanging out. I love these moments with Colby.

I love how we can just sit here and talk about things and we never get bored.

I sighed after a while and told him that I better get back to the apartment.

I had that meeting with Kurtis tomorrow morning and I didn't want to be late for it.

He totally understood and walked me to the car. We shared our goodbyes and I went back to my apartment.

Paige was already in her room whenever I walked into the apartment. I went to my room and did my face routine.

I laid in bed and watched some Netflix and eventually fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and took a quick shower to wake me up.

I was kinda nervous for this meeting but I think it'll go okay, hopefully.

After my shower, I went to get dressed and dry my hair. I just went with a casual look knowing I shouldn't be there for too long.

Once I was ready, I tell Paige goodbye and headed out. I drive to the studio and meet up with Kurtis.

He was typing on his computer whenever I walked in. "Kurtis, my man." I grab his attention.

He looked up at me and smiled. "There's my future star." He leaned back.

I like how we can have a professional relationship but we can joke with each other.

"Let's get straight to business, shall we." I half joke with him. He moves his attention from his computer and turns to me.

"Is it how you want an EP?" He asked as I nodded my head.

"I just don't want to be one of those artists that have a bunch of singles and no EP's." I frown.

I got signed back in June and it's currently October. I know things take time but I don't want to just release singles.

I want albums and EP's out. He glanced at his computer and looked back at me. "I think it'll be okay if we should do it." He agrees.

I couldn't help but smile towards him. "Wait, we can put everything on an EP?" I asked just in case, he started nodding.

"We can make an EP, and if you want, we write a bunch of songs and record them so we can put out an album." He suggested.

I couldn't be happier because I have so many song ideas. "I'm so down for that." I smiled widely towards him.

"I was looking at your numbers and they're doing really well. You're handling your Tik Tok well so I would keep doing what you're doing."

I listened to him while he spoke. "If you want, we can put the EP out on Halloween and during that time, we can write some more songs." He suggested.

I nodded my head knowing it sounded perfect. "We might use one of your photos we discarded from your previous photoshoot." He explained.

"Once we have your album done, we'll title it, promote it, and do a photoshoot for it." He smiled.

I honestly couldn't wait and had to tell everyone. Once the meeting was done, I made sure to thank and hug Kurtis.

I called Colby on the way so I could tell him I was coming over with news. He said he couldn't wait to hear it.

I ran into the house when I got there and ran up the stairs. I opened Colby's bedroom door to see him laying in bed.

He was shirtless and had Netflix on. He sat up and paused it whenever he saw me come in.

"So, what's the news, Vanny?" He asked happily. I told him how my EP is coming out this month we're going to try to get an album.

He was smiling from ear to ear when I told him. "Oh my god, Vanny! I'm so excited! I knew you were gonna get it, baby." He hyped me up.

In the music world, I do feel things are coming up for me. I just feel extremely happy.

Having Colby's support makes me feel a lot better. I just can't wait to tell the group.
