Jordan's POV: 1988
Their band finally, after four years, had a hit. It blew up overnight because a DJ in Tampa decided to play it. Then it quickly raised to the most requested songs, which got other stations to play it.
We had joined Tiffany for a short tour as her openers on her tour. The crowd seemed to really like our music.
We had to shoot a video, and we have been doing press shoots for magazines. Don't get me wrong, I love the attention, but what I don't like is I can no longer go breakdance with my crew. I can't even leave my house anymore.
I look at a picture from the breakdance crew back in 84', right before Britt left. I dragged her into the picture with us.
I wonder where she is and what she is doing now. I wonder what she looks like because she was starting to mature the last time I saw her.
I wonder if she still thinks of me or if she has completely forgotten about her Jordy. She always loved to aggravate me with that name.
I smile as I think back to those days and remember how much she hated it when I called her little bit. That's when she started calling me Jordy.
I wonder if she has heard our song or if she has seen our video. I wonder if she will be at any of our concerts. I wonder if I will see her and notice her.
I mean, it has been four years since she moved away. She is grown up now; she is sixteen. I just turned eighteen.
She is able to drive, although if her parents moved her to New York City, I doubt she would drive. All I know is somewhere in the state of New York, that's a big state. There is no telling where she is now.
He lays on the bed looking at his ceiling and wondering what she looks like now, if she has a boyfriend, if she has lost her virginity. He is jealous of the boy who got her first kiss and took her virginity. The one who would take her to prom and get to dance with her all night.
Brittney's POV:
She was sitting at her friend's house, Camilia when she heard the MTV VJ say, "Here is the new video from the hottest band around, The New Kids on the Block, the boyband from Boston. Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, Jon Knight, Danny Wood, and Joey McIntyre, please don't go, girl. This song has been blowing up, making these five boys from Boston an overnight success."
She stopped mid-conversation, "Did he just say they were from Boston and Jordan Knight and Danny Wood?"
"Yep, these guys sound so great together. I haven't seen them yet; only heard them on the radio. Aren't you from Boston?"
"Yes, and I think I know Jordan and Danny. They used to battle with the crews on the corner in our neighborhood. I know Jordan had an older brother named Jonathan."
She sat there and watched; she saw Jordan and smiled. "Look how handsome he has gotten. I mean, he was handsome when we hung out together, but he was a couple of years older than me. He was more like a big brother, always making sure I was safe and taking up for me when the older guys would make fun of me."
"So, you actually hung around two of the members of the hottest band out? That is so cool, like you actually know Jordan, and he knows you."
"I knew Jordan, and he knew me. I didn't really hang out with Danny. I just knew him because he and Jordan were on different crews and didn't really get along well back then. I have a picture that Jordan made me get in of the crew and one with both crews. I think Danny was there that day."
"Did you like Jordan?"
"Um, of course, I had a major crush on him, but he was two years older than me. He always called me little bit, and I called him Jordy; he hated that nickname. He used to teach me dances so I could dance with them when I got a little better. Then, my stupid parents made me move here and leave my life in Boston behind. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to any of my friends."
