Brittney wakes up, rolls over, and rubs Cody's empty space. He stayed at their suite last night, and she missed how he held her at night.
Jordan kept the kids so she could focus on getting ready. Marlene and Sharon were going to get them dressed for the ceremony.
Jordan had not said anything else to her; he had gone back to being nice as if nothing happened.
Cody had kept a close eye on Jordan since Britt told him what he said, and so far, Jordan has been good.
Cami stayed the night with her, and she loved their house. She enjoyed watching Cody dote over and the way he took care of her.
Today is finally the day I marry my best friend and the man that love. I can't wait; she climbed out of bed and went to the bathroom.
She started the shower just as her phone rang; she walked back to the bedroom and grabbed it. She smiled as she answered the phone. "Hello, babe."
"Good morning, sweetheart. How did you sleep last night?"
"Not good at all. I missed you holding me. I felt so empty, but I am up and going to jump into the shower."
"Oh, I really wished I was there. I could wash your back and make sure everything is clean."
"Yep, you are slacking on me, Mister. That is your permanent job for the rest of our lives, my back scrubber."
"I will take that position, and the same goes for you. My personal back scrubber. I'm going to put that in our vows."
"You better not. I miss you so much."
"I miss you too, babe. T minus four hours and forty-six minutes until we say I do. Now, get that cute butt in the shower and wash very well because I am going to kiss every inch of my wife's body tonight. I can't wait; today is just the beginning of our forever."
"Same goes for you. Tonight, I am going to mark your body as mine with my mouth every single inch. Me neither, my soon-to-be husband. Yes, it is today starts our new chapter. We have a very long story to write, and today is just the beginning."
"I can't wait, love. I love you, forever and a day."
"Now that you can put in our vows, me neither. I love you, forever and a day. I will see you at the altar. I will be the one in white."
"I will be there waiting for you to join me; I will be the one in a black suit pacing around, waiting for my love to join me."
"I love you so much, Cody. I will see you in four hours and forty minutes, my love."
"I love you, Brittney, I can't wait." With that, he hung up the phone.
Brittney showered and got dressed in her pre-wedding attire. She and Cami drove to the salon. They got their hair fixed. She had her long brown curls spiraled at the end. They arrived at the hotel. She went to their room and looked at her dress.
She had picked this dress just for Cody. She knew he would love the way it fit her. When she saw it in the store, it was exactly what she wanted. It was strapless and came down to her hips open in the back. It had a long train that could be removed, and it fit snuggly around her curves.
I looked at myself in the mirror after I got dressed. Cami, Sharon, Allison, Kristen, and Teil stood behind me.
"Britt, it's time to marry my brother. Are you ready?" Teil asked.
"Readier than I have ever been for anything in my life. Let's do this."
Everyone lined up and started walking, then Brittney held her dad's arm as they slowly walked down the aisle. She saw the sad look on Jordan's face as she walked past him. He smiled the most sincere smile he could, trying to hide his feelings.
