Prank problem

"What time is it?"
Clara asked as they went back up to the common room.
"Late...seven? Eight? Maybe even nine."
Rose said.
"Hmm."
Melody responded.
"Puffskiens."
Marla said to the portrait.
"Really now?"
The fat lady asked.
"Wait...
Marla paused. for a moment.
"It changed today didn't it?"
"Not that I know of."
Clara said.
"Well..."
Rose thought for a moment.
"Multus sanguis ex ore fluebat."
She said.
"English please?"
Clara asked.
"It's Latin for much blood-"
"Fanged Frisbees!"
Rose and Clara spun around.
"Melody knows the password but we don't? That's a first!"
Marla commented.
"Ha ha. So funny."
Melody stuck out her tongue.
"But Remus told me. Apparently he heard from Lily who heard from some first year who heard from-"
"Yes yes they played telephone. but does it work?"
Rose interrupted Melody.
"Yeah. Fanged Frisbee."
She said to the portrait. It opened up.
"The common room has never been this empty."
Clara said as they stepped in. The only people there was Lily reading a book on the couch and Remus who had just come down from the boys dormitories.
"None of you have happened to see Sirius or James have you?"
He asked.
"Hospital wing."
Clara replied.
"No, they left with me... they were right behind me."
Melody added.
"Well they aren't there now."
Rose pointed out.
"That's obvious."
Marla responded.
"And what happened to Peter?"
Remus asked again.
"No idea..."
Clara answered skeptically.
"The last time Sirius disappeared Regulus was stuck in the basement for two hours. And his room was now red and gold."
Clara told them.
"Thank you for making us feel better, Clarissa. Mels, did they say anything?"
Rose asked.
"They said they were right behind me. They were coming up with me and disappeared."
Melody answered.
"There is something mischievous going on...."
Melody whispered.
"AND WE HAVE A HOSTAGE! Take that boys!"
Melody said.
"And, um, who would that hostage be?"
Marla asked. Melody looked slightly down, making the evil face that you make when you do something evil in a movie.
"Him."
