Clara woke to muffled voices.
"Terrible, Albus, who are we going to get her the help she need, she's hardly transportable..."
Clara groaned and sat up. Dumbledore and McGonagall were standing and talking to Madam Pomfrey.
"Ms. Black! You're awake! How did that-"
"It's okay Poppy, we need to have Clara tell us what happened anyway. It will be easier to get her to St. Mungos if she's awake."
Dumbledore said.
"And what exactly did happen?"
Professor McGonagall asked.
"I was going back to the castle, I had been practicing flying. The wind picked up, by broom sped out of control, carried me high enough fast enough that I couldn't let go, I fell off over the forest, and blacked out. When I became conscious, there was a wolf. I ran. I almost made it, but it grabbed my arm and yanked me back."
Clara told them.
"I see. We need to get you to a hospital for the proper treatment."
Clara nodded.
"Can you stand?"
Clara shakily stood up. Her arm was bandaged, but blood seeped through it.
"Good. Now, ah, you may want to hold this."
Dumbledore handed her a bucket.
"Wha-?"
She started but Dumbledore grabbed her arm and apparated.

He apparated into St. Mungo's, and Clara threw up into the bucket.
"Quite alright, most throw up their first time too. Living in a pureblood family I'm sure you've done it a thousand times before, but never after having lost so much blood."
A healer came over to them.
"Dumbledore."
He nodded.
"Is the the girl who was bitten?"
He asked.
"Yes, Clarissa Black. I've owled her parents. They need to know when things like this happen."
Dumbledore said.
"Yes, of course. Of you'd follow me, please."
He led Clara to a lift.
"We'll get you fixed right up. You might be here for a week or two at most."
Clara nodded. he led her to a children's ward.
"You must be the Hogwarts student. I'm Healer Daisy, I'll be your healer."
A woman with bright blonde hair smiled.
"Come over here, we'll get you changed."
She led Clara to a curtain by a bed and handed her a hospital gown. She closed the curtain, and Clara changed out of her torn and bloody school uniform. She glanced down at her arm. It was wrapped in a cloth, no blood in sight. She put on the hospital gown, which was purple with little stars on it (this was a children's wars, after all) and stepped out. Healer Daisy was still smiling.
"Do you feel all right? Would you like to lie down?"
She asked.
"Yes please."
Clara nodded, suddenly feeling light headed.
"Okay, we're going to take the bandage of your arm, we have to see if the bight punctured any veins."
Healer Daisy told her. Clara held out her arm. She unwrapped the bandages, and Clara could see a clear pattern on her arm where the wolf had bitten her. There was fresh blood pooling around one of the marks, right where her vein was.
"That's going to take longer to heal..."
Healer Daisy frowned.
"I can give you a pain killer and a dreamless sleep potion, 48 hours. You'll need the extra sleep, that must have been traumatizing."
Clara thought back to waking up in a dark forest after falling put of a tree, and then running for your life.
"To be honest I'm still running on adrenaline."
She laughed weekly. Healer Daisy smiled.
"I'll be right back with some potions."
She rewrapped Clara's arm and walked away. Clara realized she didn't even know what time it was. She didn't know how long she slept, but it looked to be still dark outside. Was it that early morning, the same night, or the next? She looked around the room. It was bright, white, and clean. The room was small, like an operating room or for special treatment. Healer Daisy hurried back in.
"Okay sweetie, I have these potions, they'll make you sleep painlessly and dreamlessly. I doses them for 48 hours so we could run some tests on your arm, see if we can find out some more.... information about the bite. It's best you aren't awake for that."
Clara nodded and took the potion. She felt her eyes become heavy, and the need to sleep wash over her. She closed her eyes, the slight pain in her arm going away...
