Quidditch team

The next day quidditch players were posted in the common room.
"Well that was expected."
Melody said when she looked at the chasers.
"James Potter is the first chaser chosen. He was on the team last year as well, right? Oh hey look Rose and I are on the team as well!"
Melody pointed out.
"Well, someone called Alison Dianne is keeper. Sirius Black and of course, the team captain as beaters... and seeker is...oh."
Melody stopped. Clara walked up.
"Hmm?"
She asked.
"Annabeth Painstson. She's the seeker."
"But she was halfway across the stadium when the snitch was caught!"
Melody said. Rose walked up behind them.
"I already know the seeker."
She scowled.
"Annabeth Paintson? She's dating the team captain."
Rose said.
"That girl should have been a Slytherin. All of her friends are their anyway. The sorting hat doesn't account for the way people change."
Clara whispered,
"Well, this isn't going to last long. She's clearly not a seeker, after Gryffindor loses the first few games, Daves will realize that."
Rose nodded.
"And since the only reason she's dating him is a spot on the team, she'll break up with him as soon as he criticizes her inability to play. Daves will probably kick her off because she won't listen, and then they'll have to get someone else."
They all lowered their voices as Paintson and several of her friends walked over.
"See Riley? I told you I'd make the team."
She hissed as she looked at the list.
"Oh, Black. No hard feelings, as you were the other seeker trying out, but, when someone stays on their broom, they get in!"
Paintson laughed.
"You'd think it would be the person to actually catch the snitch, though."
Clara smiled and laughed a little, faking that this was okay.
"I'm sure you'll get it in a few years!"
Paintson laughed. As she and her friends left, Clara turned to Rose and Melody.
"I may be a Gryffindor, but I come from a family of Slytherins. And I will
always get my revenge."
