Y/N was lying comfortably on Colby's chest, her head resting lightly against him as the movie played on the screen. The soft flickering light danced across their faces, casting gentle shadows in the cozy room. The story was wrapping up, but Amy's voice suddenly broke the calm.

"Wait. So I just spent an hour of my life watching this dude wait for a Great Pumpkin that never even showed up?!" Amy exclaimed, throwing her hands up in disbelief and exasperation.

Jake chuckled softly beside her. "It's not about the pumpkin. It's about the message of hope."

"Well then, I hope you never waste my time like that again," Amy said sharply, rolling her eyes with a smirk.

Hartley, sitting cross-legged on the floor, grinned excitedly. "I love Halloween! It's the best time of year! The costumes, the decorations, the candy—"

Before she could continue, a soft knock came at the door.

"Happy Halloween!" Eva's cheerful voice called from outside.

Y/N looked up as Eva and Vic entered the room, both carrying something carefully. Colby sat up, rubbing his eyes as Amy scowled at the intrusion.

"Oh, come on," Hartley said, standing and clapping her hands. "I have something to show you!"

Eva and Vic set down a glowing orb on the coffee table, its swirling blue light casting eerie reflections across the walls.

"Whoa! What's all this?!" Hartley asked, eyes wide in awe.

Vic smiled. "We wanted to make your first Halloween extra special. So we decorated your yard—"

Y/N glanced out the window, seeing twinkling lights and carved pumpkins adorning the front porch.

Vic continued, "And this," he gestured to the orb, "is something else."

Eva sighed, stepping forward. "That orb contains the spirit of Amy and Jake's grandmother."

Amy's face turned pale. "Wait—what? Grandmother?!"

Jake's eyes grew wide, and Hartley looked confused.

Eva nodded. "Yeah, that's right. Her mother's spirit is trapped inside this orb. The storage facility was going to throw her away, so we had them ship her here. It was the one piece of mail the post office couldn't lose."

Y/N reached out, touching the smooth surface of the orb cautiously.

Hartley tilted her head, still trying to wrap her mind around it. "Okay, hold up—why is your grandma in an orb?"

Vic explained, "Because glass is the only thing that will keep her contained. Her villain spirit is incredibly powerful—and dangerous."

Eva added, "She can take over any object or person. She's basically a blue-haired body snatcher. Which lets her act out the worst kinds of evil deeds."

Amy shuddered. "Remember when her spirit was loose? None of us were safe."

Colby glanced nervously at the glowing orb, then looked back at Y/N. "That's... intense."

Y/N nodded, a little worried. "So that's why she's trapped in there. We have to be careful."

Hartley looked between them all, suddenly a little less excited and a little more serious. "This Halloween just got a whole lot spookier."

Eva smiled softly. "But don't worry, we'll keep her contained. And with all of us here, nothing can go wrong."

Vic glanced at the orb one last time, then smiled reassuringly. "We've got this."
