Y/N and Colby sat side by side, their wrists and ankles shackled by thick, glowing restraints. Their super suits were still intact, though the bindings restricted any real movement. The dim, harsh lights of the room reflected off the metal walls, throwing cold shadows over their tense faces. They could hear faint footsteps echoing outside the chamber, but the sounds of approaching footsteps were distant compared to the voices inside.

Oculon leaned against the control console, his arms crossed, a dark smile stretching across his face. Oynx, standing beside him with her arms folded, surveyed the room with a calculating gaze.

"Now that we've secured the Chosen One," Oculon began, his voice smooth but tinged with menace, "I can return to Valley View and take out the rest of them."

Oynx's eyes gleamed. "That won't be necessary, Oculon."

Oculon tilted his head. "Is that so?"

"That's right. It won't," Oynx said, her voice cold and precise. "Because my family is going to get you first."

Oculon's smirk widened, but there was a brief flicker of unease in his eyes. "Exactly," Oynx continued, stepping closer to the restraints that held Y/N and Colby. "Those fools will be here soon enough to try to save their precious son."

Y/N's jaw tightened. "You really think you can just keep us chained up and everything will go your way?" she spat, her voice full of defiance despite the helpless position.

Colby, though equally restrained, kept his gaze on Oculon and Oynx. "You underestimate them. And you underestimate me."

Oynx chuckled softly, almost like a predator playing with its prey. "Oh, we've anticipated everything, Chosen One. Every move, every rescue attempt. By the time your little team gets here, it will be too late."

Oculon straightened, letting his gaze sweep over the room. "And when they arrive, they'll find this chamber empty... except for the pieces of their pride."

Y/N's eyes narrowed. "You think this scares us? You really don't know us at all."

Oynx leaned in closer, her face shadowed in the dim light. "Fear isn't the point. Control is. And right now, control is everything."

Colby's fists strained against the chains, his energy flickering faintly around him. "You forget one thing... control doesn't last when you don't expect the fire coming for you."

Oculon exchanged a glance with Oynx, both briefly acknowledging the tension in the room. "Let's see if that fire arrives in time," Oynx said, her tone almost taunting. "Or if it consumes them instead."

The chains vibrated faintly as Y/N and Colby shifted, their powers pulsing behind the restraints. The air in the chamber seemed to thrum with anticipation, the silence stretching only for a moment before Oculon's voice cut through.

"Prepare the room. No mistakes this time. We cannot afford to let them interfere."

Oynx's eyes glittered with a predatory gleam. "Everything is in place. The Chosen One and his companion will be our bait. And when the rest of their little team arrives... we strike."

Y/N exchanged a glance with Colby, their eyes filled with unspoken determination. They may have been chained, but their minds were racing. They knew their friends would come. They just had to hold on until then.

Oculon stepped back to the console, pressing buttons and adjusting monitors. "The endgame is near. Let's make sure they regret ever challenging us."

Oynx crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, her smirk reflecting in the polished metal. "Yes... let the games begin."
