The living room buzzed with Halloween excitement, cobwebs and plastic spiders already scattered around in preparation for Eva's Monster Mash party. Y/N, Colby, Vic, Amy, Jake, and Hartley were gathered in the kitchen, debating who would handle which party duties.

Amy paced back and forth, clutching her phone. "I can't believe it. My favorite villain band, Cruddy Lip, is reuniting for one final show tomorrow night in Centropolis. And I have a ticket!" Her eyes sparkled, her excitement practically vibrating off her.

Vic raised an eyebrow. "Wow. You, by yourself, in a crowd of 3,000 angry people. What could possibly go wrong?"

Y/N chuckled, glancing at Amy. "And tomorrow's Halloween, Amy. We already promised Mom we'd help with her Monster Mash party."

"I know, I know!" Amy waved her hands frantically. "I'll help, but it's my one shot to see Cruddy Lip live! I've been waiting for this reunion for... like, forever. I'm talking years."

Eva, juggling a tray of fake eyeballs for the enchiladas, looked up sharply. "Hold up, so you want to go to a concert while everyone else is here, actually helping me run this party?"

Amy bit her lip nervously. "I mean... I'll be helping, just... in spirit. I'm with Colby. It's my one day off from the Round-Up, and I was gonna spend it there anyway. Just... you know... cover for me a little?"

Y/N smirked. "So basically, we're supposed to all pitch in, make sure the party doesn't implode, and you sneak out the back door?"

Amy nodded sheepishly. "Exactly. Look, I know the concert means a lot to me. Far more than my poor mom, who's under a lot of pressure and could really use the support." She gave Eva an apologetic smile.

Eva shook her head, but her lips twitched as if she were about to smile. "Aw, thanks, Amy. I knew you'd get it."

Hartley folded his arms. "Well, if Amy's going to disappear, I guess someone has to actually run the party. I could help in her place. After all, I do know a thing or two about event planning."

Y/N laughed. "Oh, kind of assumed you'd be helping already, but okay. You're going to be super picky and make everyone miserable, right?"

Hartley grinned. "Well... there's gotta be something in it for me. Maybe preferential seating at the party, or first dibs on the candy stash."

Colby rolled his eyes. "Sounds fair. Just as long as you don't rearrange all the decorations while we're trying to prep."

Hartley leaned against the counter, arms crossed. "So let me get this straight. Amy's ditching for a concert. Vic's bossing everyone around. And the rest of us are just... supposed to hold down the fort?"

Y/N snorted. "Pretty much. And if the party somehow goes perfectly, Amy still gets bragging rights at Cruddy Lip, so she wins either way."

Jake chuckled. "I see a problem already. None of you are going to let her sneak out without making it, like, an epic production."

Amy threw up her hands dramatically. "Fine! You all win. I'll figure out how to get out without being noticed. But when Cruddy Lip takes the stage, I better see a little sympathy from all of you—or at least some creative lies ready in case Mom asks where I am!"

Eva shook her head again, laughing despite herself. "Oh, this is going to be a long night... but at least it'll be memorable. Go on, Amy. Just make sure Cruddy Lip doesn't see you plotting your escape from a parent's party."

Y/N elbowed Colby, whispering, "This is going to be hilarious. I can't wait to see how far she gets before Eva catches her."

Colby grinned. "And I get to help cover for her. Win-win."
