After they had the interview Edgar is sitting at a table opposite another person, when Dick Roman enters the room turns out the person is Kevin Trans and he smiles at him saying to him, "Kevin, I'm Dick it's a pleasure to meet you." But of course he couldn't responded back because he's mouth has been ducktaped shut and his hands are tied behind his back but he doesn't even try to speak or get free, so Dick continues by saying, "I get it your nervous? well don't be I am a huge fan." He then rips off the tape from his mouth and then speaks up saying, "Well I have a present for you." The briefcase he had with him is now on the table and he opens it producing the word of god tablet and asks him, "What is that they say, kev?"
Kevin tries to best to act like he doesn't know and he speaks up saying to Dick, "Well Look I don't know." Dick just simply says to Kevin, "Cute." He then turns his attention from Kevin to Edgar simply saying his name and then Edgar takes out a knife and walks over to Kevin, who is understandable scared and Dick notices speaking to Edgar and telling him, "Go easy Edgar, we don't want to scare the boy." Edgar goes behind and cuts Kevin's tape off his hands, whilst Kevin was tending to his wrists, Dick speaks up looking over to Kevin and tells him, "Well you know I've checked Kevin you're number one in your class, winner of the Chad Kennedy top young scientist prize -- and on top of that all you are of being keeper of the word, you know you're a clever young man."
Out of the briefcase he takes a laptop, he opens it and then slids it to Kevin, who was confused that is until Dick speaks up saying to Kevin, "But I am confident that you will make the right decision here but I have a feeling that some negotiation will have to be played." He then takes an envelope out of his briefcase, which confuses Kevin even more and he continues by finishing with, "Well why don't I sweeten the pot." Kevin looks down at the envelope and then speaks up again but asking him a question, "Wait what is it in the envelope?" But dick doesn't say anything so Kevin picks up and opens the envelope, he was surprised to see what was inside.
But it was Dick Roman that speaks up finally and he says, "Well my sources tell me you want to go to Princeton, so a Letter of Recommendation like that from a man like well me -- done." Kevin still wasn't convinced he couldn't do it so he refused which was the worse thing that he could say because then Dick Roman speaks up saying to him, "Well I gotta admit, I admire your gumption kid, but I still think there's some wriggle room here and I'll tell you what I will kick it up a notch and see if that can't change your mind."
He then turns his attention to Edgar who was still standing behind Kevin and says to him, "Now Edgar, how about we bring up that live feed right now." So that is what Edgar does and he hits a button on a remote and a footage can be shown of a mysterious person holding a knife against his mother's throat which causes Kevin to panic looking to the screen saying, "Ma? Mom?!" Dick knew that would seal the deal so he speaks up whilst smiling and saying, "Well I am gonna take a very good guess and say this negotiation is done."
Kevin understandable is an emotional wreck and doesn't speak a word instead he whimpers in distress, but that doesn't bother Dick he says, "Well I can see you drive a hard bargain, kid." Whilst all of that was going on unaware to Sarah, Sam and Dean they was keeping busy, Dean was sitting on the couch going through the notebook that Kevin had given them, whilst both Sarah and Sam are sitting at the table on their laptops, Dean is the first to speak up getting a little frustrated and says, "Alright guys I have read this more times, than the time I found a playboy in dad's bag."
