Martha stretched as she sat up in her bed. The late afternoon sun was leaking through the gaps in her curtains. She rolled over and checked the time on her phone, 16.30. Her stomach flipped when she saw a message from Brandon on her screen. She smiled to herself as she lay back and opened the text.
Brandon: Hey honey, just missing you x
Martha closed her eyes and smiled. She still couldn't believe this was happening to her.
Martha: Missing you! I've just woken up, I must have been tired, can't think why! X
Brandon: I'll need to jog your memory! I can't stop thinking about it, the bath, the stockings, you against the wall...xxx
Martha: I know! It feels like ages since the hotel room! When are you coming over? x
Brandon: I'd be over right now, but we're on to some good stuff here. I'll pick you up at 8 x
Martha: I'll be ready! x
Martha had a quick shower and then called Charles. She felt the need for a new smart but casual outfit.
"Two nights in a honeymoon suite?" Charles almost shouted down the phone, "Did you actually get married?!"
"No!" Laughed Martha, "We couldn't wait to get to the room," She giggled remembering the intensity and in Brandon's eyes when she showed him the room card.
"I'll meet you at the mall and I want to know every disgusting detail, so be ready to tell all, none of this I'm shy nonsense!" Charles sniggered, "I've got the measure of you, blushing your way right on to Brandon Flowers' ..."
"Ok, behave!" Martha squealed, "I will see you in half an hour.
Charles and Martha walked through the shopping centre arm in arm. Martha told him some details about her and Brandon, but not everything, she wanted to keep most of it to herself.
"You swallowed?!" Charles gasped, almost spilling his cappuccino.
"Sh! Fucking hell, Charles," Martha whispered violently.
"Sorry," He returned in a hushed voice, "I always knew you were a dirty bitch!" He giggled his eyes sparkling.
"I feel like it's ok, because I'm with him," Martha said leaning in, feeling the steam off her tea, "He is so sexy, I can't resist him and he seems to feel the same about me."
"Of course he does," Charles said, "I was at that wedding and I saw the way he was with you and how he looked at you, it was the real deal!"
"I'm so happy," Martha said, feeling her words fill her up, as she finished her tea.
Martha took her time getting ready, she had a long bath, relaxing into the bubbles, the memories of Brandon circling around her mind. She danced around her bedroom like a teenager, listening to The Killers as she fixed her hair and make up.
Brandon: I'm just heading over! Pack yourself an overnight bag and you can stay with me tonight, if you want? x
Martha: Of course I do! I am almost ready x
Martha collected her things and put them in a bag. She checked herself in the mirror and smiled at her reflection. She had never felt like this and was going to try to hold on to it for as long as she could. She ran to the window when she heard a loud car horn blare. Brandon was in sitting in his truck waiting for her.
Martha smiled when she saw Brandon get out of his truck and walked towards her. He smiled back, their lips colliding as soon as they were close enough. Martha breathed him in, letting herself fall into his kiss, as if they had been parted for days.
