Brandon woke up on the bus somewhere between Aberdeen and Glasgow. He still felt tired even though he had been sleeping for a while. He knew it was because he was missing Martha. She had taken a few days out of the Day and Age tour while they were in Scotland so she could visit her friends and family. They had only dropped her off in Glasgow, two nights before, as he continued up to Aberdeen for a performance, but it felt like she had been away for much longer. He missed her, because she was his girlfriend, but she was now relied upon as a member of the working machine. Brandon was pleased and proud when he realised how hard she worked and how she had slotted so easily into her new role as personal assistant to the band. Aberdeen had been a good show, but it hadn't been the same for Brandon when he came off stage and she wasn't there.
"Good morning sunshine!" Ronnie called from the front living room area of the bus as he saw Brandon swaying his way down through the aisle of as it continued on its journey through Scotland.
"Good morning," Brandon said sleepily as he took a seat, "What time is it and where are we?" He asked, gratefully accepting a can of coke from Dave.
"10.30 and we are almost in Glasgow, my friend," Dave said, "Are you missing her?"
"Yeah," Brandon giggled, "I feel like she's been gone for a while, but I know I'll see her tonight."
"Your little face when she drove away with her brother," Ronnie said shaking his head, "It was enough to break my heart, you were like a little lost soul."
"Yeah, it was tough," Brandon nodded as he drained the remains of his can, "Although I had more space in my bunk," He laughed.
"I bet you did, I don't know how you guys sleep together in that tiny space!" Dave laughed.
"Love," Brandon smiled resting his chin on his hand, "When you are in love you can sleep on a knife edge."
"You kill me Brandon!" Ronnie snorted laughing loudly at Brandon who grinned back.
"I for one am looking forward to sleeping in a bed tonight," Mark said as he stretched his long limbs, "Is Martha staying with you at the hotel or are you staying the night at her Mom's?" Mark said with a smile.
"She is coming back to the hotel with us after the show tonight," Brandon grinned raising his eyebrows thinking how he would show her how much he had been missing her.
"Yeah, I don't think there will be much sleeping going on in your room tonight," Ronnie laughed wickedly.
"I don't know what you mean!" Brandon smiled his sweetest smile.
"Is Martha working at this show?" Dave asked as they pulled into the car park at the exhibition centre.
"No," Brandon said shaking his head, "She is a fan tonight, Martha and Lauren will be in the crowd."
Brandon felt Martha's absence more as they did their soundcheck, She was usually running around, helping and organising different things, stopping when they had the chance of a private moment to kiss and whisper. Brandon smiled at the memory of her lips on his. He was nervous earlier than usual too, and he tapped, fidgeted and drummed his fingers on the resaurant table as he and the rest of the band waited for their food.
"Calm down man," Ronnie muttered to Brandon, who looked up, woken from his daze, "Why don't you go and call her?"
Brandon nodded and left the table, pulling out his phone to dial her number as he walked over to the lounge and took a more comfortable seat.
"Hey!" Martha said cheerily and instantly Brandon felt better.
"Hey, How are you? It's so good to speak to you," Brandon breathed, letting his body relax into his arm chair.
