Illusion [bill cipher x reader]

∆ Author's Note ∆

After 3 years, wow, I can't believe it, it's finally finished! I remember writing it as a joke because I heard One Direction's song, Illusion. Yes, this is the story named after it. I thought this would be their song if Bill Cipher had emotions and had fallen in love.

The last chapter is the longest and hardest chapter I've ever written. Sorry if it took long because I was pretty busy at the university, I had writer's block, and I had to write it all over again because my files were lost. But the important thing is that I surpassed them!

Have you heard of the Axolotl before? It's actually part of Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirates' Treasure!: Select Your Own Choose-Venture, where Dipper and Mabel encountered the Axolotl. They had the opportunity to ask anything to the Axolotl. Mabel asked if that extra-dimensional creature was like a salamander, while Dipper asked about Bill. The Axolotl answered:

Sixty degrees that come in threes.
Watches from within birch trees.
Saw his own dimension burn.
Misses home and can't return.
Says he's happy. He's a liar.
Blame the arson for the fire.
If he wants to shirk the blame,
He'll have to invoke my name.
One way to absolve his crime.
A different form, a different time.

What I wrote is, of course, only a headcanon since I'm not knowledgeable about the Axolotl lore. I hope there's more content about it in the future.

Anyway, what's your reaction? Whatever they are, I hope you like it. Originally, I was going to follow the canon ending, but I found it too predictable, so I made another ending. Even though it's not a perfect ending, but I think it suffices.

For those who are wondering, I am sorry to inform you that there's no sequel. It feels like it's too repetitive. Buuuut, there's a possibility that I might post additional content, like a series of scenes. Let's just see, okay XD. For now, I'll correct and proofread my previous chapters. As you can see, Chapter 1 is already done, so 34 chapters to go!

I still can't believe that I finished this story.
Some parts of the story are hard to write, but I managed to get through them because you're all awesome! Thank you for being the best, most patient, supportive, and kind readers ever. I really appreciate it soooo much! I am so grateful to all of you because, without you, Illusion is not possible.
