🗡️🗡️🗡️"Welcome to the Moon Estate!" Aeri and Jungwon cheered in unison as they pulled into the square of their family's huge estate, stepping out of the car next to a statue of the very goddess whose power dwelled inside of her, not that she really knew who she was until a month or twp ago.
The three siblings skipped around excitedly, retrieving their suitcases from the trunk of the limo before running off to their house, winding through the identical buildings to the one they used to frequent so often—their mom's house.
"Kids! Don't run off!" Aizawa yelled after them, going unheard as they continued to run, disappearing around the corner and dragging their suitcases behind them.
Aizawa swore and jogged after them, worried as though they hadn't been here a thousand times before and the only people who could get in were people with permission and the Moons themselves. Kirishima, Bakugou and Amajiki followed close behind Aizawa, not knowing where they were going.
"Aeri!" A boyish voice called from the house next to hers. She looked over and gasped when she spotted her youngest cousin running up to her, his tiny arms open wide as he made the last few steps across the cobblestone and leapt into her arms.
Aeri caught him and spun him around, waving to her aunt and uncle who were chasing after their son. "Hoon! I missed you!" She cradled him close, ruffling his black hair.
"I got my quirk! You wanna see?" His golden eyes sparkled excitedly in the midday sun. Aeri nodded and set her 5-year-old cousin on the ground, stepping back with a smile so he could show her.
Hoon held a tiny hand in front of him and squeezed his eyes shut, concentrating all his energy into his palm. The three siblings cheered and clapped when the shuriken slipped out of his palm, clattering to the cobblestone. Their dad and the others rounded the corner moments later just as Hyunjin threw Hoon in the air, spinning him about as the young boy whooped and giggled. Hoon's parents watched with bright smiles.
"Hoon! Say goodbye to your cousins and let's go! We have to go see your grandmother!" Her uncle called for his son. Hoon's dad, Junseo, was Aeri's favourite uncle. He was the one closest in age to her mother, only a year older, and Hoon was their only child. She loved his wife too, Miyeon, they would often read the same books and text each other their reviews, it became a monthly ritual.
"No! I wanna stay with Aeri and Jungwon and Hyunjin!" Hoon pouted.
"Hoon we have a present for you, if you go with your parents now, you can come over and get it when you come back." Jungwon smiled, crouching down in front of him. Hoon nodded and ran back to his parents, not really needing much persuasion after the mention of a present. He turned and waved along with Miyeon and Junseo.
Aizawa clicked his tongue as he unlocked the door. He'd already had enough of the kids and they'd only been in Korea for an hour. Someone—most likely Hyoseop—had been watching the house, making sure everything was clean and there was no dust coating the surfaces.
Aeri kicked off her shoes, a bright smile decorating her face. She waited until the last person was in the door and then closed it behind her, taking in the nostalgic smell and view of the entryway.
"Go to your rooms and unpack. Don't bother me unless someone's dying." Aizawa yawned. He walked up the stairs, taking all three cat carriers with him, and went straight to the master bedroom to take a nap.
Aeri didn't waste a second in dragging Bakugou up the stairs and to her room, momentarily abandoning their suitcases by the door. Hyunjin and Amajiki had already gone to rest and Jungwon was giving Kirishima the full tour so they had a little bit of time together before someone came to interrupt them.
She slammed the door behind them and smiled as she took in her room, the sheets on her king-sized bed fresh and the bedroom smelling like Hyoseop's favourite air freshener. Aeri gasped as she set eyes on her dresser, walking over to investigate.
"I knew I left it here!" She huffed, holding up the gold ring that she'd forgotten to bring back to Japan a few months ago. She slipped it on her thumb just as Bakugou came up behind her, slipping his arms around her waist and pulling her back flush against his chest. He buried his face in her hair and sighed. "Is everything okay? Are you tired? Overwhelmed?" She asked, attempting to tilt her head to the side so she could see him. His grip was too tight for her to turn and face him properly.
"Nah, just haven't got to be alone with you today." His voice was muffled and Aeri wondered if he could even breathe.
"Aww, have I not given you enough attention today?" Aeri pouted teasingly, finally managing to battle her way out of his arms so she could face him and hug him back. She slung her arms loosely around his shoulders and cocked her head to the side. Bakugou scrunched his nose up at her teasing and she chuckled at him, walking him over to her bed so they could lay down together.
"I just prefer it when it's us. You got a damn problem with that?" Bakugou snarled. He wrapped his arms under Aeri's back and rested his head on her stomach whilst she fluffed up the pillows beneath her shoulders. He slid her legs apart so he could lay between them comfortably.
"I like having you all to myself, was just teasing you." She sighed comfortably and rested a hand atop his head, running her fingers through the strands and across his scalp in the way she knew he loved. Bakugou hummed contentedly and his eyes fluttered closed.
Aeri took the chance to observe him since he usually got irritated (flustered) when she stared at him for too long. She took in how the sunlight hit his face through the window, shadowing his eyelashes against his skin, the way the furrow in his brow relaxed and the way his lips parted slightly as he got closer to falling asleep. Aeri smiled softly and continued to play with his hair, enjoying the rare, peaceful moment with her boyfriend.
