A few weeks have passed since Beomgyu had his breakdown in front of Soobin. That night his best friend told him to do what is best for him, even if that means cutting Yeonjun off again. Soobin told him to not feel guilty if he stopped helping Yeonjun because it's not his fault and all Beomgyu was doing was putting himself first.

Beomgyu admitted that Soobin had a good point but-

"I'm telling you Gyu ghost kitchens are a serious issue!" a voice from his phone exclaimed, "What if ghost bakeries start popping up near us and tries to come for your business?"

Beomgyu looked down at his phone that was propped up on the cash register. He laughed at Yeonjun's panicked expression on the screen.

Yeah, Beomgyu didn't listen to Soobin's point and weeks later they were facetiming while Beomgyu was at work.

Yeonjun whined at Beomgyu, "I'm serious! I'm just worried about you."

When Beomgyu first gave Yeonjun his number strictly to help put together their court case and keep up with new evidence Taehyun may find. Those investigation conversations soon turned into small talk which turned into texting back and forth about random things. Those text conversations turned into phone calls. Eventually those phone calls turned into FaceTimes.

Beomgyu kneeled down so he could be eye level with Yeonjun through the screen, "Dubaddu is a staple location in Daegu. I'll be fine, Doll, I promise."

Yeonjun blushed at the sudden nickname and quickly turned his head to hide his face, but of course Beomgyu saw it and teased him for it.

And of course, there was a bit of flirting starting to happen between the two of them. But could you blame Beomgyu for falling back into temptation? Yeonjun was hot.

Sure, Yeonjun broke his heart into a million pieces, but Beomgyu didn't like to think about that part.

Out of sight, out of mind- that's what Beomgyu keeps telling himself. He actually isn't sure if that's the right saying for this situation since he does see Yeonjun almost every day and the older boy is constantly on his mind.

Actually, you know what? Forget it. Beomgyu shouldn't have to explain himself to whoever is reading this.

Just know that for the first time in four years, hearing Yeonjun's name didn't feel like everything around him was crashing down and the world was going to end.

He felt halpy. . . half happy.

"Oh, hold on," Yeonjun said as he turned back to face his phone, "Taehyun is calling let me add him."

Beomgyu just sighed and didn't have any complaints to that- at least not verbally.

Taehyun popped on their screens and smiled at them, "Good news!" The silver haired boy paused when he noticed Beomgyu was also on the call, his smile wavering for a quick second. "I got Kai to confess what really happened the day you guys broke up. With the texts receipts of course."

"You seriously got him to confess him almost killing me?" Yeonjun exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Taehyun nodded, "It took a long time, but I think he trusts me a lot now. That means whatever else I may need to get him to say then I should be able to get it out of him easier."

"Can you send me the screenshots Taehyun?" Beomgyu asked.

Taehyun's smile faded again, "Yeah give me-" he was interrupted by someone out of frame.

"Is that Beomgyu? I want to join!" the voice whined, "Hyun let me join!"

"Babe you're right next to me," Taehyun panned the phone so a blushing Soobin was in frame, "See? You're already here."
